This headset is a MUST for all Xbox LIVE users. It's a lot easier playing a game when you can communicate with your teammates, especially if you're a "noob." Not having one can get you kicked from game lobbys, make friendships on Xbox LIVE a little blurry, and can even be one of the factors in you and your teammates losing an online game. Like previous stated... This is a MUST for all Xbox LIVE account holders.
We have owned 3 of these headsets for over a year now. they are a good price and are very dependable. I have read how other people will go through a couple of these in a month! LOL!! If you take care of them they will last you a LONG time. VERY GOOD PRODUCT!
These headsets aren't exactly durable, so as long as you take care of it, it'll last you years. All of mine have worked GREAT. they have better sound than most of the knockoff brands, and they pick your voice up and not your speakers, very well. Thats my main downside with my wireless headset; it picks up the sound from my speakers very easily, whereas this wired headset does not. This can get very annoying for the other players on your team. they will say things like, yo dude, mute that noisy mic! lol.. if you can find these for less than 20 bucks, its a great buy!
this mic works fine and is suprisingly durable. as long as you put it up after your done and dont slam it on the ground after you get PWND it should hold up quite nicely I've had mine for about a year now and have had no problems with it.
These headphones aren't bad, but they are not top quality. They are only $20 and they are worth only $20. Of course you could buy the expensive sets and I'm sure they last longer. I've had mine for over 2 years and they are just now starting to mess up. I also take very good care of my stuff and have never thrown them (because I know how common that is). But I have had awful experiences with non-official Xbox 360 accessories and I will never buy non-Xbox again...but that is a personal preference. Pros: cheap price, responsive, official Xbox accessory Cons: not very durable, wire is bothersome, not extemely comfortable Conclusion: If you're looking for a cheap and easy way to talk with friends online, this is the way to go. You just have to think...will I have broken 5 of these in the amount of time I plan on having my xbox 360? If so, get the more expensive, durable set.
Ok I have owned two of these headsets. Take it from me, these headsets are very fragile. The first one lasted me about 3 months, while my second set lasted me about a week. They both shorted out after regular use. I have been, well, dissapointed, I would not reccomend this headset to anyone. I am currently saving to buy the Turtle Beach X31 (75$) headset after reading great reviews about it. These headsets only output voices over Xbox Live and cannot be used to hear in game sound. I f you want a cheap, decent headset I would probably reccomend the XLC Turtle Beach headset. It outputs voice and game sound for only a few dollars more than these low quality Microsoft headsets. Hope this helped everyone who cares about the durability of the mics. :)
These are not worth wasting money over, I have went through 3. My first headset (that came with the 360) lasted about 3 months before it started to short out. The second headset came with the chatpad and lasted a few weeks. My third one I got with the 120 gig hdd and it lasted just a few days. All three headsets were taken care of ( I never threw them in a blind rage). I eventually bought the wireless headset and it is millions of times better than the wired headsets. The only problem I have with the wireless is the time it takes to charge it (2-3 hours). The sound quality is crystal clear, aside from multiple people screaming to talk; bad headsets.
Alright, I have purchased this product at least five times. A $20 microphone times five purchases equals $100! What I'm trying to get across is, DON'T BUY THIS! The five times I have bought this microphone it has either broke or shorted out. I now have a Turtle Beach Headset and I strongly recommend it. It is worth the extra money for sure. Do not buy this microphone!
On my way to buy 4th pair today. Price is great, but I could have bought the nicer pair for the same price as the 3 I've gone through because they die. Sound and microphone work well until either the mic or the sound went out on the pairs I've had. One pair only lasted 2 weeks and the sound went out. Today the mic went out.
I purchased this product for my teenager. Since January we have been through 2 headsets. They work and then stop working. Granted the store has exchanged the first one, but it is a hassle to have to keep doing that. I figured that by purchasing the name brand one it would be of quality..wrong!!!!
