Nice finish. Pretty nice sounding little amp. Comes with a tuner you plug into the guitar that is precise. Beginner can tune and play in 10 minutes. Delivery to my door was cheap and fast.
I purchased this item for my grandson, although it was a bit more than I planned to spend for Christmas, the price was still within budget. I was interested in giving him something to use his talent, to make music instead of just listen to it, watch movies and play computer games. He LOVES this gift. It made him feel special just to see the size of the box. He is still experimenting with the book for dummies and if he progresses we will get him real lessons. Brought him closer to his uncle and stepdad.
We got my son this guitar for his birthday and he just loves it. He is playing every day. The sound quality is good for the modest amp. It's just right for practicing in the house but is loud enough to bother my wife. It looks professional and sounds as good as a Fender just not as expensive. The CD is not really instructional. It's beginner songs. The "dummy" book looks comprehensive but my son would rather learn on his own playing than reading. I recommend getting a guitar stand to go with this guitar.
Bought this for my son for his 14th Birthday. Its very solid feeling, amp works well, gig bag is nice. Its not a kiddie sized guitar its full sized. Hes been playing it for 2 weeks day & night, hes a beginner so we had to replace the thinnest string once. It was shipped to the store in less then a week. This is a good purchase for a beginner.
We gave this to our son who's 10 for Christmas. OMG he loves it. It was a great value. Instructions were very clear that he could read.
This is my first Electric Guitar and it's a great starter guitar. I wouldn't go into it expecting KILLER sounds from that small of an amplifier but I did give it 5 stars because it is a great starter guitar kit. it came with the guitar itself, the case, the digital tuner, a book and CD on guitar lessons. it's a pretty good deal for the beginner to dive right in. Enjoy it!
This is a nice guitar better than I expected. Stays in tune and has a nice finish, The amp is also good and is loud enough to practice with. There is a instructional book and cd, strap, picks, tuner and gig bag that is also included with the guitar to help protect your instrument. I think this is a good deal and I would recommend it to any one who is wanting to learn electric guitar.
This is a great product being offered here folks... Sure, It's not a top of the line guitar or amp.... But for your money, it is a very great beginer set, or just a great set for someone who love's to play as a hobby... I bought this for my son, and he love's it... We have'nt really looked at the "Dummy's" book, but what little bit that I have looked at it, it seem's to be very full of information... The guitar, and amp, have a very good sound... But now for the electric tuner, its not the greatest, but it will get u close enough... All and all, we were both very pleased, and would highly suggest this package...
I bought this guitar for my 9 year old and she loves it. It's exactly what we were looking for and at a great price. I also want to say that Kona has excellent customer service. We had an issue with the bags zipper being broke, I emailed Kona and they sent out a replacement bag( got to us in a few days) and some free gifts for our trouble. I would certainly buy this brand again.
I have to say. For a starter guitar, this product rocks. This guitar is as good as any, (with proper tuning). The price is the best you will find for a combo. You get the book for dummies, which by the way, is all you need to get started. But no, you get more!! You get a hands on DVD, to show you how its done. You get a gig bag (if you want to perform outside of home). You get a strap, Extra srings, Electric tuner and an AMP!!!. Once you have mastered how to play, than you can move on to more advanced Electric Guitars. For a beginner, or professional, this will be all you need to get into playing an cool instrument.
