The taco seasoning is great!!! The authenticity of the flavor is very nice and the final meal is very tasty when mixed with onions, cheese, some veggies and a shell. In my opinion, if you are going to make tacos this seasoning would be the best way to go. The aroma is striking and will arouse your senses. The flavor reminds me of a tasty sit down mexican cuisine restaurant and is definitely better that your "down the street" fast food chain. In addition, it is quick and easy to put together making it a great meal in time crunch situations.
I usually make my own taco seasoning but this is perfect when you don't have time. I like this brand because it is the most authentic of all the other ones out there. My mom always used to use this type and would get upset when we go shopping for her and bring back the generic brand trying to save her money. So we knew better as we got older. Lol!

I tried this along with the new chipotle taco mix to compare. It is really good. My family loved the new chipotle style a bit more, probably because it was new and different from what we were used to. All in all, go for this if you like the standard kick. Try the chipotle if you like a smokier taste.
With McCormick Hot Taco seasoning mix all you need is a little time and a pound of hamburger meat with some taco shells, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos or whatever fits your taste buds and some hungry people. It was very easy to make, just brown the hamburger meat in a skillet on the stove, drain add in the seasoning mix and some water and let it simmer for 10 minutes while you get any topping ready that you like and everybody will be flocking in to the kitchen for a taste. It has a good flavor, but not too hot for the kids. You can't go wrong for a quick meal for the family.
McCormick HOT Taco Seasoning Mix--is good--it does have heat (hot spice) but not over powering-- very simple to prepare a batch for Taco night--I used ground sirloin--brown it--strain off grease--add 3/4 cup water and seasoning mix ten minutes later ready to load up taco shells--top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheese (cheddar)--very good Taco--McCormick has many products for busy mom's and dad's to easily prepare meal that kids love as well as themselves:) Thanks again McCormick for another winner.
McCormick HOT TACO SEASONING MIX IS GREAT TASTING. IT IS HOT AND SPICY. IT HOLDS UP TO THE MCCORMICK BRAND STYLE. YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON THEIR SPICES TO BE GOOD. IT WILL BURN SOME TASTE BUDS. PERSONALLY, I THINK IT IS BRINGS OUT THE SPICES TO THE RIGHT FAVOR. I MOSTLY USE A MILD PACKAGE WITH THE HOT PACKAGE TO TONE IT DOWN FOR SOME. IT MAKES GREAT QUICK TACOS. I ALSO, USE MCCORMICKS HOT TOCO SEASONING ON CHICKEN . WHEN I AM MAKING KICKING CHICKEN. . SOMETHING TO CHANGE THINGS AROUND TO MAKE DIFFERENT FAVORS TO THINGS .
I must give this mix a round of applause, as well as McCormick! I have tried the original, mild, and chipotle, yet they all smelled and tasted horrible! This mix revived my feelings about McCormick taco anything! It smells like taco mix and tastes like taco mix, unlike the others. I recommend this if you are considering McCormick mixes. It isn't very hot, but there is a kick in the aftertaste which isn't too bad. I would recommend this if you aren't into hot sauces or spicy things because of the mildness in the flavor. I enjoyed this mix flavor very much and would consider purchasing this again. I also recommend anyone who may be looking for something a bit different, and definitely only this one out of the previous McCormick ones I have tried.
The McCormick hot taco seasoning is pretty good. You can taste the regular seasonings and flavors of the original packet they sell with just a little spice or heat to it. I used ground turkey and I didn't use the entire packet of seasoning. I probably used 3/4 of the packet but also I did not use the entire called for amount of turkey either and the sodium content is just too much for me personally to handle. So there is a chance this packet might have been a little bit hotter in flavor but I'm not thinking much. My husband absolutely loved it and devoured his lunch left overs the next day at work. I do like this hot version better than the original. To me the original has a distinct cumin over load and this hot one was just right. And when I use cumin I like a lot in my food but there's something different with the original flavor, to me anyways. I would recommend you give this seasoning a try!
This hot taco seasoning was quite tasty! It tasted better to me than the usual taco seasoning that we buy. We like our food on the spicy side, so it was perfect for our taste. It could have even been a little spicier for my taste. My daughter used this seasoning when making tacos one evening and my family loved it! It could also be used in making the filling for burritos or as an added ingredient when making salsa. I would recommend it to anyone who likes their food on the spicier side.
