The mix is perfectly seasoned. There is a balance of the favors. It is delicious. Everything is in this pot. By adding the vegetables you have a complete meal. If you want you could add some type bread. Maybe you could just enjoy the stew. The meat is fork tender; the vegetables are very tasty and season wonderfully. All I added was the McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning mix no other seasoning. You will want to keep it on hand all the time. The aroma reminds me of healthy home cooking we always want to share with our families. Anytime is a good time to try this seasoning mix.
This seasoning packet is very easy to make a great dinner. The smell while cooking is wonderful and the taste is like something your grandmother made. I really liked the recipe on the packet. It makes enough for a large family or for just two people with left overs. Yummy and filling as it is or simply add a salad or veggie sides and bread for a well rounded meal. This will definitely become one of your staple meals. Especially in the winter when the cold weather harkens something warm for your tummy! I definitely recommend this seasoning mix because I truly enjoyed the taste.
You can’t go wrong giving McCormick beef stew seasoning mix a try. The flavor is very good and the same every time I make stew. One pack of mix is 1.5 ounces, enough for a good size pot of stew. I use 2 pounds of sirloin steak floured and browned, 3 cups of water, 2 cups of potato’s, 3 to 4 cups of other veggies that I like such as, onion, celery, carrots, corn, tomatoes, or green beans and the seasoning mix. Simmer for 3 to 4 hours. Then check for desired thickness. If it is to watery add flour slowly until desired thickness is achieved. This seasoning mix makes a hearty meal on a chilly day
very easy to follow directions on the packet- I just dumped the raw meat into the crockpot and added the flour and pepper and then I added the packet of McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning Mix (I didn't add the salt)... Then I poured in one 14.5 oz can of beef broth, mixed it up really well, and added all the other ingredients exactly as listed (minus the 1 1/2 cups beef broth, of course)... In addition, I also added a tablespoon or so of chopped fresh parsley and a little more of the carrots, potatoes and celery than what the recipe called for, as it didn't look like there were enough veggies in relation to the meat. I used baby carrots and small honey gold potatoes, cut in half... I cooked the stew on high for 6 hours, stirring it every hour or so, and it came out PERFECT! It was very flavorful and just the right consistency. Definitely my favorite beef stew recipe EVER, and it was sooooo easy to make!
McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning Mix really has all the spices and herbs for a homemade tasting beef stew. I add beef stew meat along with potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms. Really made for a hearty beef stew that my family enjoyed.
the beef stew for dinner was al some takes a little time to prepare but well worth it and every one at the dinner table enjoyed it in prepare this stew the prep time is about 30min. to cut up the veg, you can get them done while your waiting on the beef to simmer first you have to coat the beef with flower and place in a skillet or dutch oven and simmer for 45min, after 45min, add the vegetabies simmer 1 more hour or till veg, are tender also stir occasionally and if desire thicken with a little more flower this package ends up making 8 servings full directions is on the back of package must also mention this beef stew mix has natural flavoring,
I FIND THIS BEEF STEW SEASONING MIX TO BE GOOD AT FIRST I WAS LIKE HMMMMM THE SEASONING MIX TASTE KIND OF A LITTLE SALTY AS I WAS STARTING TO COOK MY DINNER. BUT THEN I ADDED MY OWN SEASONING AND IT BROUGHT MORE GREAT TASTE TO MY BEEF STEW. I FIND FOR THE PRICE ITS OKAY I DON'T FIND IT EXPENSIVE AT ALL. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT GIVE IT A TRY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND WHAT YOU GAIN IS A GOOD TASTING BEEF STEW. THE SEASONING MIX TASTE ALL NATURAL THE SPICES I DON'T TASTE AT ALL NO MSG NOR ANY ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS NEITHER TOO. WHEN I MAKE MY BEEF STEW I LIKE IT EITHER PLAIN WITH MEAT ON IT OR I ADD VEGETABLES OR I ADD POTATOES AS WELL. EVERYONE DOES THEIR BEEF STEW DIFFERENT AND IT'S OKAY WHAT COUNT'S IS OUR FOOD TASTING GOOD LIKE WE WANT IT TO BE AND HOW WE WANT IT TO COME OUT AS WELL. YES I WOULD GET THIS SEASONING MIX AND TRY IT AGAIN THAT'S FOR SURE. I SAY IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO TRY NEW PRODUCTS THAT COME OUT THE END RESULTS COULD BE THAT YOU WILL LIKE IT OR NOT THE NEW PRODUCT.
This seasoning is actually quite good. I was very surprised as usually meals that incorporate stew can be very easy to mess up and pre-packaged seasoning would not be my first decision due to belief that it would make weird/nasty tasting stew. Nonetheless, my position has been changed due to McCormick. I have tried aa couple of their seasoning so far and all but one has not bee great. The beef stew flavor is quite rich, (i didn't read the composition) but the aroma is also captivating to the nostrils. I would give this a 7.5-8 out of 10 baed on taste. Now be as it may that beef will taste good with many things, the McCormick seasoning is a good compliment and I would recommend if trying to prepare something good in a short amount of time.
McCormick is famous for its seasoning products, almost anything you can think of for seasoning. This one is new to me, just tried it once for a small family gathering. I would say it did not disappointing me and my guests as some other similar products before. The taste is well balanced, not particularly has any special flavor. Of course you can always add something you like, keep one thing in mind, like most packed seasoning products, it contains enough salt for your dish, too many salt will hurt your health. Another thing I would like to say is to use it on recommended amount of beef, do not dilute too much, or the flavor will be gone. If you need to cook a quick meal, it is a great product. Or you can spend hours for a dedicated beef stew with your own style. There are recipes for McCormick on their own website.
I've been enjoying the different flavors from McCormick and this is another tasty way to make dinner. The recipe is simple and very easy to follow. First step - You need to brown the meat. You then have to decide what you would like to add. I chose Option #2, a frozen veggie mix for stews.. no slicing and dicing.. and a nice shortcut. This gives you the basics to start with and you can then build from there. No slow cooker this time, a little bit involved, but in the end, one more way to serve a good beef stew!
