The Grill Mates Pork Rub was super easy to use. I put it on par-boiled spareribs and let the rub soak in for several hours in the refrigerator before cooking. They came out so good my Father- in-law said they were restaurant quality! My husband made me write the recipe down so that I can do this again. Thinking I should go out and buy a case so I always have it on hand.
When I received the Pork rub, I was anxious to try it. There are lots of seasonings out there for steak so I chose this instead. First, the rub stuck to the boneless pork chop with no problem. It did not fall off even when I put it on the grill or turned it. My pork chop browned just the way I like it. When I made my first cut, I could tell it was going to be juicy throughout. I personally don't like dry pork. I could taste the spices easily. I could taste the heat of the chili peppers but it wasn't so hot that I had to jump up and grab water or bread. It seemed to be a perfect blend of spices and heat. I thoroughly enjoyed my pork chop. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind a sort of spicy hot that that you can easily taste but doesn't set you on fire. I would've posted a photo but I was so anxious to try it I forgot about photos.
Loved it!! This spice rub is so very spicy and savoury! A really deep smoky taste. I used it on a pork roast, some thick pork chops and a whole roast chicken. What was Very good was that it was not too salty and was a good one step seasoning. I try it next on ribs on the grill this weekend, yummy!
I was concerned about how I would like this rub for pork when I first opened the jar. I was worried that it might be too spicy or hot but it was so fantastic! It was so easy to just rub on the top of the pork roast, I added some sliced onions and baked it for 2 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. It was so tender and the juices would make a wonderful gravy but I just served it with the juice on the side. I used a roaster with the lid to make sure it kept it's moisture. The smell as the roast as it baked was so nice and the taste with this rub was not too hot or too spicy but a wonderful flavor of chili powder, garlic, brown sugar apple cider vinegar and herbs. I can't wait to use it on pork chops on the grill and I think it would be great on turkey as well and make great gravy for a different kind of taste. The rub on the top of the roast gave it a great presentation for serving as well. I would also like to try this on chicken breasts on the grill for a dinner sometime. You won't be disappointed if you try this and it will last a long time as it just takes a couple of teaspoons of rub to cover the top of a big roast. Enjoy!!
Great product...rubbed on my ribs and steak the day before and let sit overnight in fridge; meat was tender and tasted great!! (if I do say so) If you want seasoned and tender meat, give this a try. I even used it on chicken although it says pork...
McCormick IS KNOWN FOR THEIR GREAT SEASONINGS. THIS ONE DOESN'T LET YOU DOWN. THIS McCormick GRILL MATES PORK RUB IS SO GOOD. I HAVE USED ABOUT ALL OF MCCORMICKS GRILL MATES SEASONINGS. BUT, THIS ON I THINK IS THE BEST ONE. I USED IT ON PORK LION COOKED ON THE GRILL. IT REALLY BRINGS OUT THE TASTE. THEN. I HAD SOME HAMBURGERS TO COOK AND I PUT IT ON THEM. AS THEY COOKED. I LOVED IT ON A BURGER. MY FAMILY REALLY LIKES IT ON BURGERS NOW. IT HAS A DIFFERENT TASTE. THE SOMETHING NEW.

I love this Pork Rub and found out that McCormick will not be making it anymore. That upsets me because all the other ones on the market do not hold up to this one.It gives REALLY GREAT flavor to the ribs and I always get complemented! IS there anything you can do to get McCormick to keep making this item? We need many people who like this to place REVIEWS and write to McCormick!!
This was my first time using a rub. I had seen it used a few times on a cooking show but nobody really gives you the how it is supposed to be used. It's a kind of feel it out thing I guess. Well I asked a friend. And as per her info I set about using this rub on some short pork ribs. Dry them ribs off and put on your rub let it set I did overnight. Pop them in the oven nice and low for some hours and then on to the grill for finish and the sauce. They turned out wonderful meet fell off the bones and flavor all thru. A little spice and little sweet wow it was nice. Will be doing this again.
I used the McCormick Grill Mates Pork Rub on St. Louis Style ribs. It was so easy, just rub on the ribs and cook. I cook the ribs covered in the oven and they came out delicious, everyone really enjoyed them. The rub gives the ribs more of a smokey taste that is not overpowering, not too sweet or spicy and the ribs were very tender and juicy. I will definitely use this product again and recommend it to others.
