This is my third brother embroidery machine. Each time I go for a little bit more. I have loved all of them, but this is definitely my favorite. I started with the SE400, then the PE770 and now this SE1800. They are all great machines but I highly recommend this beast. It is as easy to use as the SE400, but has so much more going for it. It will take a number of different hoops. I bought it with the Grand Slam Package which included a cap hoop and a sock hoop. It comes with an array of built in designs and fonts and is extremely easy to switch between sewing and embroidery.
It is so easy to use, I love the built in fonts My 6 year old granddaughter and I use them a lot
When reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant at first. But this machine is so easy to use from conventional sewing to the embroidery. I do have some experience with sewing and had no problems at all running the SE1800. I love the fact that my embroidery designs are so easy to upload and embroider and I love the fact that I can embroider Disney designs. I have not had any problems with hooping or sewing. I guess that my only complaint is that the screen is in black and white. My sister was so impressed with my new sewing machine that she is purchasing one. I am very happy with my purchase and it is a great value for the price.
I love this machine. I can sew and embroidery. I have an expensive Baby Lock which I also love but this Brother machine is a work horse and very dependable.

I couldn't believe how easy this machine was to learn. Out of the box, I was able to figure out how to embroider! Very easy! Love, love my new machine !
Upgraded from a very old Viking machine (which I loved) so I could embroider. It has not disappointed in it's ability or features. Have had nothing but great results with this machine. I would recommend it highly.
I'm loving my sewing/embroidery combo. Still have lots to learn on it but I've enjoyed what I have learned. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's often hard to see which design you want to select on the screen. I do wish it had a larger embroidery area but I think I can make do with they 5x7 just fine. As for a newbie to embroidery, this machine is easy to use.
This machine is very simple to learn! Seems smooth and haven't had any real problems. Had tension issue and they sent me a new bobbin that seems to have fixed it. So far working great! I'm really new to sewing so if I can figure it out anyone can .
Awesome machine!!! Would've given it 5 stars if you could hook up the machine directly to a computer like the SE400 instead of having to use a separate flash drive which kinda makes it inconvenient. But otherwise a great machine.
