look for Grown in Mexico on the small melons. Georgia melons are not year round, but Mexico and Florida grown are. The melons last month are beyond their date of freshness. I bought 3 last night and they were all perfect. Very sweet and firm. I only wish they were bigger 😜
cut the watermellon %26 it was yellowish indide %26 a little sour. this was the 2nd one i purchased this season. the 1st one was pretty good which is why i got another one. just a couple of weeks too old.
I purchased food for a pick up and purchased a watermelon expecting to get a full watermelon when I picked up my groceries and came home. The one that I received was no bigger than my four year-old head i am unsatisfied that I purchased five dollar watermelon barely enough to feed one person.
That was the worst watermelon I ever tasted in my life!! It was such a disappointment. It was under-ripe, tasteless, bitter, and couldn't be eaten. I was so disappointed because I was I'll and watermelon usually heals me and makes me feel better. Total waste of money. I had to throw the whole thing away. Try one from that batch. Never again!!
Don’t purchase. At least not on the app. Disgusting. As soon as I cut into it I knew it was bad. Actually when I picked it up I noticed that it felt mushy. I even tried to tell myself it might be good. It appears to have been picked under ripe and then frozen. Maybe if you pick it yourself in the store you can choose a good one. Otherwise maybe wait until they’re in season.
This "watermelon" was 5 1/4" in diameter, had an interior rind that was 1/2" thick, was filled with seeds, tasted nastily, and had a spoiled area. The price was just under $5.00 and for that size, it should have been two or even three! I have had acorn squash that were larger than this melon! What a poor example of Walmart's choice! I had my order delivered, so I had no way of knowing what I was getting prior to delivery!
i bought this watermelon a few days ago. Delivery went well with all my items. I felt the side of this watermelon and it was soft. I cut into it today: it has no taste, soft and mushy, not even red inside. it's rotten. I have to throw it away. I5 can't even be used to make a slushy. Look at the brown ring around the melon. I won't be buying another one anytime soon.
Not only the watermelon was super small but it was the lack of taste that did it for me. I will never buy another one. It was a Walmart pick up, I never had any issues but who ever picked it most of thought it would have been funny to get me the smallest one and charge me almost $5 for it, shame.
Horrible this watermelon was not safe to eat I woke up the next morning and it was foaming and leaked a weird slime all over my kitchen!!! Do better Walmart, I'm pregnant and that could've seriously got me and my baby sick!
I placed a order for 2 watermelon after cutting them open they're rotten went on line for a refund they want me to bring them in they're cut- REALLY-LOL-so just be careful when ordering fruit how can I bring them in and they're cut in half and spoiled
