WENT LOOKING FOR A SMALL TABLE AND CHAIR SET FOR GRANDDAUGHTER. SHOPPED AROUND AND FINALLY DECIDED TO ORDER LITTLE TYKES SET ON-LINE BECAUSE WE JUST COULD NOT FIND STURDY DURABLE SETS IN STORES WHERE WE LOOKED. FURNITURE WAS DELIVERED AS PROMISED TO STORE AND IT WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE TABLE AND TWO CHAIRS IN LESS THAN 1 HR. IT IS THE STURDIEST FURNITURE WE HAVE SEEN TO DATE AND WE ARE SURE IT WILL BE A HIT THIS CHRISTMAS. ONE ADVANTAGE TO THIS SET IS YOU CAN ORDER AS MANY CHAIRS AS YOU WANT AND THE SET IS AT A HEIGHT THAT EASILY ACCOMMODATED THE LITTLE ONES. THE CHAIRS ARE SO STURDY I COULD SIT ON INE AND IT WOULD TAKE MY WEIGHT OF ABOUT 200 LBS.
This is an excellent sturdy hardwood table. Our kids use it for coloring/drawing and eating. It will last forever! Our 2 yr old did take a marker to the surface, and i only got it partially off. It is very nice quality, and looks nice too. I just added felt pads to the leg bottoms to save the hardwood floor.
This table was just the perfect size for my grandson's first brithday. He absolutely loves it! Even daddy thinks it was easy to put together and is very sturdy. I bought the matching chairs and they are strong enough to hold an adults weight (dad is 6'4) so we can sit together at the table to work on various projects. PS I love the site to store shipping option since I live in California and my grandson lives in Texas!!!
I have twin girls that are very rough. They are two and one weighs 45 lbs and the other 39lbs. They were both standing on the talbe and jumpin and it did not even sway. I ordered 4 chairs with it and when we are doing arts and crafts I sit in one of the chairs and it is solid. This product was in no way cheaply made and is well worth the money for solid wood. I expect that this will be used for years to come. We have had the table and chairs for a year on Christmas.
I was looking for a sturdy table for my 22 month old to eat at and also do arts and crafts at ... Ordered this one based on all the great on-line reviews when it arrived it was so easy to assemble and very sturdy. I thought the statment that said it was all wood may have been a slight fib but to my amazement its ALL WOOD no mdf at all :) This table is awesome .
I just put together the table and chairs of this collection and I have to say.."what a great product". Does not only look beautiful but it looks and feels strong. Solid wood, smooth finishing and very easy to ensamble. I love it! Kudos for Little Tikes. I really look forward to pick up the storage center of this collection that I just ordered.
We did a good amount of research before buying a table for our 21 month old. This had great reviews and we totally agree!! It is very solid and so much better than the ones we considered at babies r us. One note, if you have hard wood floors you might want to put the protective felt pads on the bottom on the chairs legs to prevent stratches to the floor.
This table is so nice. Do not hesitate to buy it. My 19 month old daughter sits at it everyday. I sit in 1 of the chairs, too, occasionally. It is very sturdy. Worth every penny. I bought the 2 pack of chairs to go with it. I love it! You will not go wrong.
This is a really nice, sturdy table, quiet heavy, actually. I purchased both the table and the Little Tikes matching two-pack chair set and they look really nice -- more like furniture than a kids set. They were fairly easy to put together. My son will be able to use the set for several years and I can even sit with him at the table, on the second chair! I had all delivered site-to-store and saved a good deal on shipping.
This table and chair set was great! Much heavier construction than I expected. It will hold a good size adult which is very handy when you want to accompany the kids. The only small complaint was that one of the predrilled screws came out and has been stripped making it impossible to put back and in. So my husband will have to do something to make it hold the screw. Other option is to glue and clamp it. But I anticipate this furniture will stay with my son's family for at least 2 generations to come.
