I would highly recommend this product, it is the neatest baby item I have ever seen. Easy to set up/put together. Very sturdy-not to mention very cute. I absolutely love it.
the cocoon came in good shape. it is beautiful. i think the baby will be very happy in it when she is born.
After researching other cocoon beds (which retailed for about $350), I found this bed! The bed is absoulutely worth every penny. The bed seems much more comfortable than the crib and our baby seemed right at home from the first moment I put her in it. I would buy this product BEFORE your baby is home and use it as a bassinet and first crib. The bed is easily moved from your bedroom into the baby's room when you are ready. I would definitely buy this bed for an expecting friend! PLUS the site to store feature made pick up easy and affordable
My little one has slept in this day and night since we came home from the hospital. I am regretting it now that I am going to have to make the switch to the crib... but we are both getting sleep.. and I couldn't be happier with the cocoon. Mine is black and white... which I prefer over the aqua. My little girl had a little bit of reflux so sometimes I put her crib wedge in the cocoon for a little added inclination. This has been my favorite baby item!!!
This was very easy to set up. Walmart had the best price on this item - I looked everywhere online and in stores. He is 12 days old and I think the way the mattress is curved and the swing set up his head is cushioned from getting a flat spot. He also doesn't have any bald spots like you see with cradle hair, but maybe that happens later no matter what? We like it overall and use it every night. If fits right next to my bed and its easy to look over in the night and see what the baby is doing. I plan to move him to a real crib at 2-3 months so this is working great instead of a bassinet. I can reach right into it from bed and pull him out to nurse. When the baby kicks, the cradle sways and he seems to really like that and stay asleep. I thought it would be good if the baby had reflux, but it doesn't really keep the head and shoulders elevated higher than his tummy, if I adjust the straps to make the bed inclined, the baby just slides down the incline gradually and ends up in a ball. Good thing he doesn't have relfux or I would be very disappointed.
This one is really worked well for my baby who has acid reflux.Intilaly he had refused to sleep in this however from the second day onwards he started liking this, I use this primarily for day sleeping and put him in the crib during the night to avoid difficulty in moving him to crib later.Works fine for me. He is able to pass gas well which helps him to ease and reduces the fussyness totally. The only small glitch is this is supposed to swing on its own as and when the baby kicks it from inside however ours tend to jerk...hence we have to push the swing untill he goes to sleep..he loves the swing action so much the moment it stops he wakes up if he is sleeping light thtas the drudgery tho its worth it given the fact he is sleeping happily.
Our babies slept like a dream in this "cocoon" during their early weeks but we stopped using it so much after a few months because we didn't want them to get too used to having movement put them to sleep. After they outgrew it, they now sleep fine on their own just laying there without having to be rocked or anything. The actual surface they sleep on I don't think is washable so you'd have to find a way to protect it.
Set up is very easy. it took just 2 minutes to assemble. The color Aqua is not very attractive but it is okay. The price for this simple product is little on the higher end. Eventhough it is a good product, my Son doesn't like it. So i am returning this product. Shiva
Very cute. A bit bigger than I expected. I thought it would take up less room then a pack n' play but it's about the same. My son does seem to like it; although I haven't gotten as much use out of it as I had hoped since he went through a phase where he wouldn't sleep without being held. When he would sleep without being held it was only in this.
My son has reflux so I thought this would be perfect after dealing with our first son's reflux and having trouble raising the head of his crib. This is very awkward when you raise the back of it. The child is put in a slouch position which is not good for their belly. At least thats what I found with it and my son would just cry when we put him in it. He did not like it at all. I tried for naps and nighttime sleep various times and he just didn't take to it. I'm returning mine, very big disappointment since others had written such good reviews. Also check the size much bigger frame than I expected.
