Oh what a relief it is!!! I have had a bad back for a very long time. This foam topper has relieved 90% of my morning aches. I can straighten up without pain. I wish I had tried this sooner. Much cheaper than a new mattress. The odor as others had reported was minimum. We left it out on the spare bedroom floor over night and all creases and almost all of the odor had disappeared. The cover was not zippered but this was not a problem. With the elastic everything folded neatly into place. This topper is worth the try for all you with back problems. And economical too.
I have a very ill friend moving in with us and I wanted her bed to be very comfortable since she will be in it a lot, she said it was great and thanked me. I also bought a king size for my bed it is like sleeping on air. I am thinking about getting one for my 91 year old mother.
This is my second Aerus Natural 3" Memory Foam topper, the first one lives in my RV and the second one at my parents house. In both locations the foam topper sits on top of the worlds hardest and unforgiving mattresses, and this foam topper makes both comfortable and usable for sleeping on. This topper does not retain heat and make me sweat, even in the Alabama summer RV camping or during hot Santa Anna wind weather in So. Cal.! It arrives tightly rolled and plastic wrapped so you have to be careful unrolling it so it can expand and air out. Mine have only taken about 12 hours to fully expand/air out for sleeping on, and the foam odor isn't bad like some other foams I've smelled.
Love this topper. It's firm but yet feels soft against the body, conforms to your curves. My husband said it's the best thing we could have done besides buying a new mattress. I didn't find unrolling it a problem and actually didn't have to wait 24 hours for it to come up. It does take 2 people to place on the bed, it's really heavy (king bed). We are both sleeping really well and not waking up during the night. Would highly recommend this, plus it's MADE IN AMERICA!!!
This Aerus 3" topper was a great bargain. We bought this because the memory foam mattress we bought from Walmart last summer was so overly firm it felt like we were sleeping on the ground. We hoped to find a topper that would provide some extra give while maintaining a cloud-like feel and this did just that. It is very heavy and was difficult for me to get on our bed by myself (queen). The cover is just a wraparound mattress protector that you place on top and it tucks underneath. I thought that the cover would come off over time but it stays on nicely. I have never had to retuck it. The cover is nice and thick. It's quilted and looks well-made. The memory foam itself is a very soft memory foam. You sink into it and and it depresses easily. But that's exactly what I wanted because I hate stiff memory foam. I want to sink in and "float".
The foam topper is very comfortable -- highly recommended. We were rushed so put it immediately on the bed with no problems. No odor either. We did struggle a bit putting on the cover. It would be better if the manufacturer put it on. I bought a foam topper a few years ago and it was already covered -- so much easier. Having said that, we did manage to get the cover on. We were concerned that we'd have trouble getting the fitted sheet over the king-size topper on the king-size bed, but that turned out to be no problem. Price: too expensive, but not sure there are cheaper ones that are as good.
I love the feel of the memory foam topper. The sateen cover is great. The only thing I didn't really like is the smell that the foam still has. It says it would disappear after 72 hours, however I have had this for over a week and have had it out in the open for many hours. It is not a very strong smell, but still has a smell to the mattress. The rest is great.
I am pleased with this product. I had bought it to help with my back pain and pain in my upper arms from sleeping on my sides. The back pain is a little better and the arm pain is a lot better. It was shipped quickly. It was a little awkward to get into it's cotton cover because it is a large squishy item, but once in the cover it stays in place well since the cover tucks down around the mattress.
I first slept on a memory foam mattress topper without a bed pad, and it was wonderful. So soft, and I couldn't feel the seams and wrinkles of my nightgown. So I bought this one. Same experience except I decided it was more sanitary to use the included bed pad. With the bed pad I still feel seams and wrinkles, but not as much as without the topper. It is comfortable. I thought it interesting that the instructions talk about a zipper in the bed pad. None there. So I figured I'd gotten the wrong bed pad. Turns out the washing instructions sewn into the bed pad also reference a zipper. There is no zipper.
I purchased this foam topper to replace one that I had purchased from Sam's 5 years ago. This one is no where near as comfortable and the density ratio is very poor. Maybe I got a bad model but for a $160+ topper it is quite inferior to the one I had from Sam's Club. I have tried it for three weeks now, flipping it to different configurations with no satisfaction. Extremely disappointed. Finally gave up and took it off the bed. Wish I could return it !! Also the online ad showed the topper with a zippered cover, this one is not as shown or described and is basically a " throw " type cover over the foam that slides from side to side.
