[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You never know what the cutout for a thermostat looks like before you uninstall the old thermostat, and most of the time, unless you're repainting your walls the hole never quite matches. So I find it easier just to get the trim plate. It makes the installation look much cleaner. This just goes underneath the thermostat and hides any holes or paint marks. Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trim plate for the Google Nest G2 is something I wanted to cover the large electric box I have on my wall with my old thermostat. It was very easy to install and very secure. I especially like the round edges since my thermostat is in a hallway and the old one was square with hard points and easy to hit. The color of the trim plate matches the Nest G2 perfectly!

I love that this trim plate covered the marks that were left behind by my old thermostat. Installing the trim plate was super simple. The plate mounts to the wall flush leaving no space and holds my nest securely. The white color is gorgeous, it really makes the nest pop on my wall and looks clean and sleek. I recommend getting this trim plate along with the nest, you will not be disappointed!
