Long time ATT customer, continually gouged for data. Purchased this Moto E to try out Cricket service. Cricket seems to have the same coverage area as the parent co. ATT. Can discern no difference in service. I feel that the Moto E is the best smart phone value on the market. This particular offering is the 1st Generation offering of the E, Cricket offers 2nd gen on their website for $30 more than this particular phone. The Moto E works flawlessly on Cricket, data is extremely fast. Can't beat this phone's abilities for the price.
For the money this is an excellent smartphone and like everything about it. A standout is the front speaker which is loud and clear. Don't have to cup hand around back to hear. Better reading online than my Samsung galaxy. Camera lacks auto focus and close shots are limited, but don't use as main camera. Kit Kat experience is nice upgrade from Jelly Bean and speed is fine. Phone has nice feel and good size, not to big. I am with the new cricket and same as at&t before with good customer service and excellent pricing.
This Motorola Moto E phone is great for the price. It has less features in some areas than the Moto G, or the Moto X, but for the price, it's no slouch (quality-wise). The service provider Cricket) offers great affordable price pre-paid plans. Be sure to check coverage area at your exact address.
The price on the phone is fabulous, even if you do as I did and buy at 32 card. Without the additional memory, it is a fairly basic phone. WITH the card, it is incredible. It does not have a front facing (selfie) camera but the landscapes and portraits my daughter has shot with her phone are literally professional quality. I have had LGs and a Samsung G3 and honestly, the combination of this phone, the price, the quality (it doesn't die when I drop it) and great cricket service just can't be beat. Also, if you are looking for a family plan, cricket now offers a five phone monthly line service for $100. WOW. That means my daughter and I could have 3 more lines FOR FREE. If you have a family, this just can't be beat.
This phone (first generation) is a great phone for the money. I just purchased the 2015 upgraded 2nd gen Moto e from Cricket for $49 and it has a iot of improvements over this 2014 first generation phone. Bigger display (4.5), 2 cameras, 4G LTE, faster quad core processor with 1GB ram, larger battery, same gorilla glass and splash proof design, android 5.0.2 Lolipop. I bought one and just love the value of this phone. Inexpensive and packed with features for the price. The camera isn't the best, but the main reason I have a phone is for calling and the call quality of this phone is fantastic. And with LTE at this price - that's fantastic!
This is a great smartphone, clarity amazing, internet is fast and I can do anything on this phone that I can on an S5. The camera is just basic and there isn't a front camera that is why it's probably so cheap plus there is 4gb of memory but you can add an SD card if you need more apps, but other than that I love this phone. I am on my third one because I dropped them and Cracked the screen and all three worked the same great!
I bought this phone because I wanted to try the new Cricket now that it's been bought by AT&T. I also tried the moto X and own the a Verizon moto g that I use as a mini tablet, so I have tried all of motorola's current phone offerings. As for the phone what can I say, since Google announced it with it's gorilla glass and weather resistant coating I knew this phone was perfect for taking along while hiking. The camera does have it's shortcomings with no flash or high resolution but, coming from a Lumia 520 I already learned to deal with the shortcomings.Speaking of shortcomings, the processor is only dual core (like the Lumia) but the 1Gb of RAM does help with multitasking which for what I do is responsive enough. Light gamers and frugal smartphone buyers look no more, this is one of the best <100 $ phones you can get right now and It will be updated to the next Android !!
I purchased this phone as a Christmas gift for my 15-year-old daughter and it is a great phone. There's enough memory for all the apps she uses and a great quality camera. Cricket's service is very clear and reliable. The only complaint she has is that it does not have a dual camera or flash. However if you're looking for a reasonably priced Android device with lots of memory I highly recommend this phone.
This phone works very well.I can depend on good service.I've shopped on line and received poor products that leave me frustrated.I feel secure with the customer service and the low price. This phone is for people that want a good working smartphone. The camera is on the back and does not have a flash. I carry a good camera in my pocket .
To tell u the truth, I didn't have too many issues with this phone except that it's supposed to have Gorilla Glass but yet the one and Only time it was dropped, it shattered into millions of pieces!! I personally wouldn't recommend it for anyone with children.
