I love the ifit with the maps during a workout! It keeps it exciting. It gives me a tough workout each time. I am a strong athlete and it has plenty of resistance. I love the incline and love how it automatically changes incline and resistance during the workout as to give me a great tough workout each time. It seems very smooth and quiet and I love the fan also.
Set up was fairly easy, daily use and workout programs are great! Really takes you on a journey!
I started using the ProForm Pro 12.9 Ellipctal on day 1 and was delighted with how it performs and the features available. Starting with set up, the directions are easy to follow and everything fit well. The ability to be connected to WiFi made downloading fitness programs a breeze especially when paired with the iFIT program. About the only Con I have so far is that I thought I would be able to pair it up to my IPod or phone via Bluetooth in order to listen to music but you have to use a cable to connect to the built in speakers. After using it for about a month and completing 25 workouts I have lost 17 lbs. and am feeling great!
Super study (I'm 245) and tough. Does not feel flimsy at all. The interface is great. Some things I wish I could change, but overall, a great investment. Only thing I don't like is all the features they want you to buy. Everything is for a membership.
I have no complaints. I am starting out as a casual user and plan on going up from there. I have endurance to do 45 minutes to 1 hour. I liked the trial period and did 1 hour on it. I can't wait to see good results from using the Elliptical. I have something to prove to my Dr. that I can get in better shape in the next 6 months. I'm excited to get into a routine.
Great unit, made really well, extremely heavy to carry up the stairs. Works good right from the start, although I have a minor problem with the IFIT wireless network. I hope to get this resolved with tech support soon. Would definitely buy this elliptical again!
This machine has high quality construction, with very little mechanical setup (definitely a plus for this machine). The user console touch screen responsiveness is subpar for this price point (aggravating at times). Most functions require IFIT yearly subscription fee. The IFIT features are nice, but I find it difficult to enter login credentials on the machine console due to the poor responsiveness of the touch screen. Also, you have to login each time to access your IFIT account. it would be better if it saved your or others login credentials and you were able to login with one button press. Especially if you have more than one person logging in at the console, i.e. wife, etc. The blue tooth for this model is only for accessing the IFIT heart rate monitor strap. It CANNOT be used for anything else. Not sure why they added blue tooth if you can't pair with other devices for extended functionality. The IFIT heart strap works very well. The heart rate sensors on the handles of the machine don't seem to work well. I am still trying to see if they have a sweet spot in which they must be held in order to detect your heart beat accurately. Not sure we will renew the IFIT service beyond the introductory offer. It's a great idea, poorly executed. I recommend you carefully research the features you desire before making your choice with a particular manufacturer.
This is a great elliptical. It is solidly built, and is very stable upon the use. It is very quiet in the operation, has a very elegant design that fits well into the interior of the room. It took us (2 people) a significant effort to push the box (300 Lb) to the second floor. No particular complaints about that, though, since the weight of the elliptical is one of the primary factors that makes it stable upon the use. The only actual deficiency of this elliptical is a noisy incline monitor. It makes impossible using any of the pre-programmed workouts since the incline frequently changes as the computer program simulates the real incline of the trail. This is the only reason we do not use the pre-programed workouts. After manually selecting the incline level and starting the strides, the elliptical remains very smooth and very quiet during the operation The only thing that still puzzles me is observing an 8mm bolt being knocked off the machine in the first day of its use. It hit the metal shaft with a clank. Looked everywhere possible but did not find where the bolt came from.
I bought this product about a month ago to keep in my home. I work from home and have small children so cancelling my gym membership was refreshing. The machine was working great up until 1 week ago. The display has went black and I cannot resolve the issue. The customer service team is difficult to deal with and my machine is still not functioning properly. For around $1200, I was hoping to not have these issues. Once the display is working again, I will be more than able to edit my review on this product.
I paid for "white glove professionals" to install the elliptical and they didn't align the parts and they stripped the bolts trying to force them into place. The unit is not stable and I have asked for assistance from both the manufacturer and the delivery people who installed the unit. It's been over a week, and no one has contacted me about making this right. I am an UNHAPPY customer.
