As a single Mom sometimes I worried about the construction of baby furniture, but this piece was easy to put together, even the bottom drawer. It looks perfect in my baby's room:)
I got the crib through site-to-store shipping, which I highly recommend (the cheapest shipping to my house was going to be $120, so it was easier - and free! - to go to the store and pick it up). The box will not fit in a standard car/SUV, so if you're picking it up from the store, get a pickup truck. My advice is to inspect the packaging when you pick it up - there isn't much packing material inside so if the box is dented/torn, chances are you'll have some damage on the crib. I didn't have any problems putting the crib together, took me less than 2 hours (including 30 minutes to unpack all the parts and make sure nothing's missing). It would've been even faster if I had another person to help - the pieces are really bulky. But no problems with assembly (the only stumbling part was with the back rail that could've gone in at the same time as the side panels, but the instructions said to install the side panels first, then loosen the bolts and install the back rail, but really it can be put in at the same time as side panels, so you don't have to undo any bolts you already tightened). The crib is very sturdy and attractive, and of course we're planning on converting it to a toddler bed and then to full bed in a few years. It's definitely worth the money.
Product and color was as described on website. Wood has a shiny finish. Very easy to put together with the exception of some confusion with the mattress support. Crib is very sturdy and absolutely beautiful. I must say, we were even impressed with the packaging. Although the box was torn up in parts, when we opened the box, the pieces were so well protected, there was no damage.
What a beautiful crib. My husband put it together in no time and we can't wait to use it for our baby boy.
The only con I can list is that the parts were not labeled, but this was not even that bad because all the parts looked different so it wasn't hard to figure out which one the instructions were referring to. I absolutely love this crib, it was easy to put together (took about 2 hours total w/ breaks). I really liked that it came with the parts to convert it over to daybed then to full bed... that's GREAT!!! The last crib we used, the parts had to be ordered and paid for completely separate. I also love the natural wood, it's very pretty. It's also very sturdy... I also did some research on the company to make sure I could order parts if needed and the StorkCraft company has a great website with lots of information, and parts can be ordered right there over the web. I highly recommend this product...!!!
The product was very well packaged and the quality of the product was as expected. My husband said that the directions are pretty useless and not very helpful. He did have one major issue when screwing in the large bolts. One hole was not drilled straight and when he screwed in the bolt it cracked the wood. Luckily it is on the bottom of the head/foot board, did not cause any damage to the structural integrity and since the crack did not go all the way through the wood we were able to use wood glue for a quick fix of the splintered area. We would have probably returned it for a new one but the rest of the crib was already assembled and this was the last piece! Overall, the quality is decent, the wood is shiny and bright and the crib seems like a decent purchase, but, might be a little more expensive then it needs to be. The Walmart site to store shipping was very easy as well.
Nicer than what we thought it was going to look like. the one only thing it took a while to put together and figure out which piece was what. other than that great crib.
I got this for my daughter who is pregnant with her first child. She is 6 months pregnant and was able to put the whole thing together in about 3 hours. She was creative when it came to putting a few parts together, but it can be done. She is so happy with the crib and can't wait for her baby to come.
I love the crib, and it looks great in my daughters room, but when i put it together the screws to the bottom draw didnt work so i had to call and wait for them to come in the mail before i could finish putting it together. but over all i love the crib..
when we recieved the product what i did not like about it was the instruction was on the place board i felt that was a pretty ridiculous place to put instruction. It made it longer and more of a hassel to read them. second it would of been better it they labeled the parts so it would be easier to put together rather than trying to figure out whats what. Overall it only took us about two hours to put together. Me and my wife like the crib and would recommend it to eveyone, biut just those minor setbacks is what we did not like about the product.
