These nice little locks will keep your belongings secure as you travel, board, hike or work. These work great on suitcases, backpacks (in pic) and duffle bags. I used them on a backpack while hiking and can also be used to lock away certain items out of childrens reach. The keys and lock arms move freely and effortlessly. You will no longer need to worry about your belongings being safe in suitcases while staying in hotels and motels. Nobody will be rummaging through your stuff! I highly recommend these little locks.
Not just any lock any more , All they need is your security code . these allow your luggage to be inspected and relocked by security authorities with out damage. Each screening location is able to use the locks security code to open and close after inspection. I'm old school and not sure how i feel about these as far as on my luggage but i picked these to do my review on because i needed a smaller lock to put on my money box .They work great just the right size. you will receive two gold locks with two keys. Pretty secure also . These will work on other items besides suit cases. If you can lock it and the item is small enough thes keys will work just fine
America Tourister Set of 2 Luggage locks is just what I needed for my first upcoming plane trip. I did research and knew I needed to get them. They will allow my luggage to be opened, inspected and relocked safely by the security authorities at the airport without damaging my locks or the luggage itself. They are good for all commercial airports in the United States .and around the world. The Travel Sentry Logo on the lock will help the TSA agents to efficiently screen bags. The security code is on the lock as well for easy identification. The locks are made of durable zinc alloyed construction. They include 2 user keys. I plan to put my key on my clip in my purse. The dimensions are .87x.47x1.5 inches. They gold in color with silver latches and the red America Tourister Logo on each lock. They are very attractive and durable little locks that fit perfectly on my luggage. I only needed 2 of them because we plan to only carry 2 pieces of luggage with us on our upcoming trip to the beach. This will make our trip go a lot smoother and I am so happy that I found this little set of locks for the luggage.
Safety and security while traveling is such a high priority right now. I love the American Tourister Key Locks because they allow me to safely lock my luggage whether I am storing my luggage in the overhead storage compartments on an airplane or checking my bags through TSA. I feel secure in knowing that my clothing and other valuables are safely locked away from possible airline thieves. The locks are easily oped at TSA check-in gates by simply using the provided keys. Having two keys for each lock is very helpful as well.
The Travel Sentry key locks are very reliable, secure and durable while travelling domestic or international. The Travel Sentry locks has a approved special identification mark and security code for TSA agents and baggage handlers to easily open luggage and re-lock without damaging luggage or keys. I personally used one Travel Sentry lock for my fire proof document bag locking my personal, confidential and legal documents. One key is on my key ring with car fob and house keys. JUST DO NOT NOT LOOSE KEY KEEP IN SAFE PLACE!!
I can't remember if the size was said in the description, but they are very little locks, and by the images I had thought they were a deal larger. Regardless, they are quite heavy for being so small and were a perfect fit for my daughter's diary lock and have certainly upped the security on it(the locks that come with a diary always seem poorly made). Perfect for locking the zippers of a backpack together, or a cooler, ect. Overall, they are very good quality for being so little!
Let me first remind everyone that when you buy locks to secure your luggage by fitting through those small holes on the suitcase zippers, you’re not buying into the rock of Gibraltar. Those little luggage locks give only a fairly minimal amount of security – primarily from those few dishonest transportation employees who would simply unzip an unlocked bag and rifle through it for a few seconds while it’s temporarily in their custody for a moment or two. Face it, anyone with even a small pair of bolt cutters can slice through luggage locks like butter. That being, said, I tested these locks and worked with them a bit to provide a review based against the performance of other luggage locks. I am an experienced (and used-to-be-frequent) world traveler prior to my retirement. These new American Tourister “Travel Sentry” locks pass the initial “looks” test. They have a smart and neat appearance, with no sharp corners or edges to snag or tear anything. The two keys that come with this 2-lock set are a bit flimsy, but that is the standard you must expect from pretty much all of these small luggage lock sets, regardless of the maker. The keys are light and small, easy to slip into a small pocket or onto a key ring with no noticeable addition in size or weight. After securing these locks to the metal handles of a heavy, well-made desk (stronger than most luggage), I gave the locks a repeated tug, pull and jerk test to determine if their strength was adequate to resist ordinary force. The mechanisms did not slip or budge even the slightest bit; there was no indication of any propensity to allow the strength or pressure exerted by the average human being to force them open. I actually got the distinct feeling that my desk drawer or its screwed-in heavy handles would break before these locks would snap open (they never did). As most of us know, we are no longer allowed to lock luggage when travelling, such that it can’t be opened and inspected for safety & security before being loaded onto aircraft or transferred between aircraft. The most distinctive feature of this particular type of lock is the TSA logo and number printed on the bottom of each. This allows a traveler to lock his luggage before surrendering it at the gate, using this type of device. TSA personnel can then implement a relatively new program by which they can unlock luggage that is secured with this type of serial numbered device, using a master key that corresponds to the number (type) that is displayed on the lock, without doing any damage to the luggage. TSA can then re-lock the luggage and allow it to continue on its journey. I have not yet had these locks long enough to have done any travelling that involves going through TSA clearance, so I can’t comment knowledgeably on how well that process works. I also don’t know what price tag will be placed on these locks to purchase them, since I received them directly for testing as part of a review process. But if priced similarly – or maybe even if slightly more – than other luggage locks, I would have no problem with that, or relying on these locks (and the American Tourister brand name), to be among the top of the field in this kind of product - possibly even the best.
These are great to lock up luggage or cases that have two zippers. You just meet the zippers together, slip the lock into the end and close. The keys are small so you need to put them in a safe and consistent place so you don't lose or forget where they are. In the picture below I locked up my daughter's tablet (for fun) just to see how long it would take her to notice. This might be a great way for parents to lock up their kids devices. ;) Works great for larger piece of luggage too. These are small but they are also good quality. My favorite thing about them is the gold finish; they make for an attractive addition to your luggage. I gladly recommend them.
These locks are not your standard size locks. They are really tiny! Wish I would've read the dimensions properly. Oh well they still work and lock my classroom cabinets pretty good.
Very cute lock. But all the locks use exactly same key!
