It is not fancy or thick, it is just a regular cloth.
I use these burpcloths every day when I feed my daughter. The ones I purchased are in a different color, but they're the same quality. The cloth is thick and absorbent. They're not very soft, so you won't want to wipe your baby's face with the cloth, but it's fine if you pat up the liquid.
