** A small caution: using too much of the lip balm tint will make your lips feel pretty sticky. A little goes a long way! What I like about this balm is that it's easy to work with, plus it is a good travelling essential (I used to wear lipsticks and lip glosses when I went out sometimes, but in those days, I wished I had a simple tint instead of a coat of lip product). Since it's a tint, you can build up the coverage however you like, and it's light enough to put on layers. I chose the color Berry, and Berry is vibrant and very pigmented with one swirl of your finger. I recommend this to a friend and will look forward to purchasing this in the future. Oh, and you don't have to worry about this product on those incredibly hot, sunny days. The balm will melt just a little bit, but that's about it. It keeps its form real well.
When I ordered the lip balm tint in the colors Peach and Grapefruit. When it comes to any lip product that leans toward the orange side, I often find that it is more pink than orange. With this being said, I wasn't disappointed at all with Peach. Grapefruit so also a nice color. Both have great pigmentation and I plan to continue using it. (Pictures do no justice for the lip balm tint)
|Youtube: JanineSummers| |Video:HD! el.f. Essential Lip Balm Tint| Love'n these lip balms! They make my lips feel very soft and they look natural on the lips. They also make my lips look like they have been stained with a light tint of color.
I order Berry and wanted to order Grapefruit as well but it was out of stock. I applied it with my finger and didn't use a brush. It was very, very easy to get on my finger without much pressure. It wasn't a sticky or thick balm though, definitely creamy and smooth. I was really impressed with the pigmentation. It is definitely lighter than it appears but it layers well and can deepen easily. If the Berry shade is darker than you would normally pick, don't rule it out just yet. It is perfect for an every day color or for a lipstick substitute. It seriously cannot be beat. I will definitely purchase more of these and in every color!
I bought this a year ago at a store where I live hard find but got last year try first time love love it and greats on lip byself or over lipstick very pretty and last you a while just love how well blend as a gloss over your lipstick or wear alone very pretty. Shade !
I like this product a lot! Cute little jar, decent staying power, and some pretty good pigment too. I have naturally pigmented lips and the grapefruit shade gives me a good "nude but more" look. I definitely feel like my lips are moisturized after using this too. c:
I have two of these in Grapefruit and Berry. My favorite of the two is Berry because it's a sweet pink color. For some reason, Berry feels a lot more silky feeling than the Grapefruit. Maybe it's just me though. They make my lips feel incredibly soft after I apply them and are very pleasant smelling. They even taste a little sweet. I don't usually post reviews, but this lip tint makes my lips so soft and I think it's definitely worth a try.
These are a great cheap buy. They have a sweet light scent and are lightly pigmented. I have berry and grapefruit and they are a perfect no effort lip color when you need to be quick or give your lips a break.
This product isn't bad, I just don't love it. It is moisturizing and has a hint of color (mine is on Grapefuit) but I just don't love the ways it is packaged. The little plan is cute and all, but I find it impractical and dirty; what I mean is that, or I have to carry a lip brush with me, something I wouldn't because if I am wearing this, it is a super light/no makeup day, or I would have to use my finger and it might be dirty. This is why I would rather have my lip balms in stick form. Like I said, I like the product, not the packaging, and I am on the fence of buying more, but if that doesn't bother you, you might love them.
I purchased this product in "grapefruit". It's a very pretty color, but by my definition it is NOT a balm. I consider a balm to have a slightly waxy texture, like a chapstick, but this was a sticky mess. I personally do not like the texture of this product, as it does feel like a gloss, and is heavy if you try apply enough to get strong pigmentation. However, it is very moisturizing, and it's great for the wintertime if I use a minuscule amount in the center of my lips. From reading others' comments, it looks like the different shades have different textures. If you don't mind the feeling of a thick gloss, using a regular amount of this achieves great color. It stays true to color. I'll include a picture to show how sticky and glossy it is and a swatch.
