This product can range from about $3-$5, depending on location. But at such a cheap price for large amount, I find it very soothing upon application and makes my skin feel great after use. I'm not acne-prone but I use it to relieve dry skin on certain areas of my face. After a second use in one week, I already noticed a big reduction in dryness. It's a cool, gel texture as with all peel-off masks, and I actually like the smell. The cool feel of it as you apply it to your face is meant to soothe your skin, especially if you have irritation from acne, rosacea, dryness, etc. You only need to apply a thin layer of it on your face. I apply amount a quarter-size amount for each cheek, a nickle-size for forehead, dime-size on chin, upper lip, and nose. The "LadyNinja" reviewer most likely applied way too much to her face since she complained of it drying in 30 minutes and that it hurt when she peeled. It actually dries in 5-10 just as the instructions say, and peeling it off is super easy if you apply a thin layer as I described. Just wash your face with your favorite face wash, dry your face, apply the mask, peel off after 5-10 minutes, rinse off residues with warm water, dry off and then apply your favorite moisturizer if you want to. The process is that quick and easy.
I bought this masque as a replacement for the queen helene grapeseed peel off masque, which is hard to find. This masque is a great value for the price, and works very well. While the other reviewer said it takes 30 minutes to dry, lol, it does not! Apply a thin layer and it dries quickly and peels off evenly. I use it almost every morning before my shower and it really smoothes out your skin and hydrates as well. I do recommend it and will purchase it again.
I've had this product for a while...about a year. When I use it, it works quite well. I don't use it all that often for 2 reasons: one, it's cold, it makes my face cold, and it takes forever to dry because of that (forever meaning about 30 minutes). Two, the consistency is rather unpleasant--it's very similar to spreading cold tingling glue all over your face, and letting it dry there. However, I've used a few different types of peel-off masks, and they are all that texture, so that must be part of the nature of the mask. It's still kinda yucky though. Also, it hurts just a bit to pull off the face. Over all, the results are definitely worth it! I have problem skin: not really 'acne' like some people have it, just big fat nasty pimples in my t-zone, and sometimes across my cheeks. If I use this right when I feel them coming on, and then a day or two later, it helps reduce size and severity quite a bit. With consistent use, I clear right up! (Keep in mind that I also use other products too--like moisturizers--this stuff does tend little drying out!) I don't use it consistently though, because of the things I stated above. I just use it when I think I need it the most. For the price (around $3) and how well it works, it's a great addition to my arsenal!
