I make my own bread and use this brand of pickled jalapenos to make outstanding jalapeno cheddar bread!!!
i am in love with jalapenos, i use them with nearly all my dishes. perfect for pizza, nachos, tacos, fried rice, country style steak dinners and more! this is the best brand to get spicy jalapenos and not just barely spicy jalapenos i tried from other companies. this is a well trusted brand and i highly recommend this to everyone who love jalapenos on their food!
These jalapenos are sliced the long way and are not the "nacho circles". It appears each jalapeno has been sliced into fourths, so you get a nice amount of pepper with each mouthful. These peppers are crunchy and are a good quality. The escabeche is also good, with a nice amount of carrots in each can. There could be more onions, in my opinion, but I always add more onions, garlic, and carrots any way. La Costena is not necessarily my first choice for canned jalapenos. I like to have the peppers whole, not sliced, but this is a good alternative and the price for each can is reasonable considering you can have them delivered.
This item is best flavor, no soggy no hard. Just perfect.
La Costena is my favorite brand of jalapenos -- they taste smoother (but not "weaker") than other brands I've tried. I like them in a variety of dishes (chili, meatloaf . . .) and on the side, especially with fried chicken.
I love this product , you get a lot ,I like spicy peppers that's not too Hot! although these are very mild but tasty, I like to put them in nice big Sandwiches! I do like jalapenos a little hotter some times but my extreme! the item is a good price!
Mediocre. Better when you buy these in the jar. These canned sliced jalapenos are what I would consider 2nd rate, probably fine for recipes where they are very background heat and texture, but if you want good flavor, buy them in the jar. Good value for a spicy ingredient if you mix with something more flavorful. By themselves, the flavor is stale, lacks the pop or bite I want from a pickled jalapeno.
