This blend is a very dark roast with virtually no hint of usual winy aftertaste common to medium and light blends. it is also very soft and smooth, probably achieved through the use of Costa Rican beans. It is beautifully crafted, all things balanced......body, aroma, flavor. You can further blend it with a dark Sumatran or Costa Rican Tarrazu, to add a little more body or aroma respectively, 70% Post Alley/ 30% your favorite other.........brew it STRONG........THIS IS A BEAUTY!! WELL DONE, SEATTLE!!!!
Seattle's Best Cofee Post Alley Blend is one of my favorites. It has a rich taste without being overly strong and taste great. I have a cup of this coffee every morning, it helps me get going. This is the first time trying this coffee and I'm hooked already. I'm a huge coffee drinker and typically drink coffee all throughout the day. Its rare when I try a new brand but every once in a while I'll grab a bad of something that intrigues me. This was the perfect blend and wasn't too strong for me. I love an intense flavored coffee that only a dark roast can deliver. I agree with the other reviews - this is just as good as Starbucks French roast, but much cheaper!

I received my sample bag of Seattle's 6th Avenue Dark Roast Coffee! At first I was unsure of the coffee, due to it's overwhelming smell. But after getting past the smell, I made my first pot, and was pleasantly surprised of the rich smooth flavor! I will be purchasing this coffee again! I received this Seattle's Best Post Alley dark roast coffee about a week ago. It has a pleasant aroma which is nice and relaxing. It reminds me of my grandmother's house as she always had fresh brewed coffee when we went to visit. It's bold flavor is smooth and enjoyable. It's intense flavor is perfect to wake up to start your busy day. Seattle's Best Post Alley coffee would be ideal to enjoy with your friends and family. So sad this lovely coffee has been ruined. Always needed just 2 scoops for an amazing cup now even 3 scoops creates a forgettably bland brew. Have two new packages and tried them both. Clue to change: tape on new packages does not remove cleanly and have to cut top to open as it's glued too well. Drank SB5 exclusively for years. No more. So sad. :(
