Nice product. Quiet and the light works out very well for my application. Very easy installation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 80 CFM and 2.0 sone to this bad boy and WOW! Big difference. Not only is this quieter (1.0 sone) but it is also more powerful (120 CFM). It also has a light to boot which my old one was lacking. I really did not need a light but the power and sound er lack there of really sold me. It was slightly bigger than my old so make sure you measure first or you may need to make the opening bigger just a tad. That was not a problem for me as again I wanted to move some air. I have it hooked up to a 4 inch insulated flexible duct with tape and a clamp. This vents outside through the soffit and swapping out old with this was a breeze. I am very pleased with this fan and hope it last for years to come.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Husband installed it and it took him just a few minutes to get it done. Ventilation works really well and the fan didn't sound too loud. I like how the light was bright and covers the whole room. I highly recommend it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ceiling bathroom vent works really well. It is SUPER quiet and effective. I really like the bright light on it that could be dimmed. My wife tends to keep the vent on when she's putting on her makeup just for the added light. Two things to note, the light doesn't operate separately. That would have been nice. Secondly, this was just not a slam dunk installation. I ended up spending the money to get a handy man to install. The ceiling opening had to be cut quit a bit larger. He did have to go up to attic to be sure it was all clear and to clear away a LOT of insulation that would otherwise had dumped on the floor. He was here about an hour and 40 minutes to install it. The good news, it seems worth it.
Nosiey and clips do not full seat it to ceiling need to replace clips in hope to fix rattle hopefully they will send me new clips as is less than 8 months old
I have had this fan for around a year, and it has been a decent unit. It moves a lot of air, the change in lighting at the flick of a switch is nice. However recently ive been trying to diagnose a fan rattling noise. I cannot tell if it is the motor that is making the noise or if it is the fan cover. It does rattle when the fan grill is on, and when I bring it down it stops the noise. I am guessing the clips that use tension to hold the fan up are the ones that are causing all the noise? I am not sure how this can be addressed, I am going to try and get Broan Nu-Tone to send me a new grill cover first. If that doesn't work I am going to try a different motor. Overall it is a nice looking fan with nice features, however the rattling noise I am currently experiencing is borderline unacceptable.
How does the light cover attach? No picture or instructions and I cant seem to find any holes for the ends of the spring to go into. Sounds like can be tricky so I think I am tossing in the towel before I install it.
Fan was easy to install from the room side to replace an existing fan. While the fan does move a lot of air there is a rattle in the motor and like others have said the cover and springs are horrible. Took forever to get the cover on and it doesn't pull tight to the ceiling so the light leaks out the top. I expect better quality from Broan. Hate to say it but if there is an upgraded cover that clips correctly I would get it. Not happy with this purchaser all.
Spent hours getting this installed and the grill clips do not work. They will not hold the grill to the ceiling. I fear it will fall off, and I have spent so much time already installing to find the last step is a VERY poor design and looks cheap because there is no snug fit. I would love to replace it already. I purchase three and the other two are going back. What engineer in this company thought this cover design would satisfy a customer.
I bought this just over a year ago and I'm already having issues with the light, the led flashes constantly. After some online research it seems this is a pretty common issue with this and other similar Broan products. If I would've know this was not going to last at all I would have never bought this in the first place, specially given the high price of the replacement led module.
