I had seen this film years ago so I knew what I was getting. Even taking this into consideration, I was not disappointed with this film in any way. I am a great Burt Lancaster fan and this movie only strengthened my resolve. I will enjoy owning this film for years to come. It was great to see an actor who was starting to age who was still as fit as any producer could want his players to be. I do not believe I have ever been disappointed with this actor in any role. If ever you do not feel elated watching one of his movies, you may wish to take a second look at the movie itself as opposed to the actor. His action sequences were vintage Lancaster. He can never be replaced. Only a few actors stand up to this mark.
A Great gritty western as only the great Burt Lancaster can present!
Lancaster is a aging marshall who goes after the ruthless rancher and his men who killed an innocent black man, all the punishment he takes for a $100 dollar reward, but he gets even. very good movie for all western buffs. i own it, you better get it.
