I bought this product to hang up small canvases over my bed. Went to take them down today and they tore a hole in my wall and ripped the paint off. Since this is in my college dorm room, I now have to pay a fee of over $50 for them to fix the wall. I'm nervous to remove the other canvas because I know it is only going to cause more da mage therefore increasing my fee. Truly dissapointed in this product. I trusted it on my walls and now I'm paying the price.
This is not a damage free product. We have just removed a picture from the wall and it has damaged it in two areas. Pictures include traces of glue used to stick the paint back to the wall. Please can I have an email contact for customer services department.
I used this to hang my diploma frame. When I took it off, the paint came off the wall! I have chosen this over nails because I am renting a flat. Now, how am I going to tell my landlord!!!!! HORRIBLE. IT DOESN'T DO WHAT IT SAYS AND IT DAMAGES THINGS YOU CANT DAMAGE.
I just used the medium strips that are supposed to hold 12 pounds for a picture that easily weighs less than 5 pounds. It not only fell off my wall, it ripped the paint and a layer of my wall off my wall! This is not the first time I have used and had issues with these strips. They have come off before when I've used strips that were supposedly supposed to hold more weight than what I've tried putting up. I will not be using these anymore. Never again.
These strips DO NOT work! I was so happy when I got those a week later had one of my paints falling of!!! Few days later another one. It ruin my beautiful frames!!!
The strips don't work...PERIOD. I've bought the small and medium strips. BOTH DON'T WORK. First of all it's not damage free; the strips ripped the paint off of my wall. They don't hold up to the indicated weight and they don't work. The adhesive on the medium strips are too weak to hang onto a frame and are useless. Waste of money and absolute trash.
I bought these to hang a set of lightweight pictures on the wall. I followed the directions exactly. I had seen people on YouTube use these and thought they would be great, no nails, no crooked pictures if I closed the bedroom door too hard, no damage to the wall. They looked absolutely great, perfect, no movement, just perfectly placed pictures. Then, after about a year, the pictures started falling off the wall. The hanger was left on the wall, but the adhesive let go of the frame. Within 3 months 4 out of 6 frames had fallen off the wall. If you touch the adhesive side of the hanger that was adhered to the picture frame, there is almost no stickiness on it at all. Over time, it just lost its stickiness, and let go of the frames. One frame was damaged beyond repair, and I cant get a replacement for it. For something that started out so well, it turned out to be a waste of money. You can see one place in the photo where the hanger is missing from the wall. I took it off myself because I wanted to see if the side that was stuck to the wall was losing its stickiness, so I removed it. It was fine, it was just the side adhered to the frame that lost its hold. What a disappointment! I thought I finally found a way to put up pictures without damaging my walls, but I was wrong.
We purchased these 4 pound picture hangers to hang 1/2 pound pictures. After following directions twice!, they totally tore up our drywall! How can you advertise these as great working items? Never again!
I bought this for the fact that it is advertised to cleanly hang frames. When I went to remove it and followed the instructions to do so it ripped 2 baseball sized sections of paint off my wall. This will now cost me hundreds to fix. I have to hire someone to spackle and repaint it. NEVER USE
Complete garbage. The box I got must be defective. The adhesive that holds the Velcro to the strip separates and comes off. All appear to be this his way. The whole 12 in the value pack. Great way to get a broken picture.
