I am a weaver and quilter and was looking for something to hang my samples with. I was pleased that Command Strips also work with fabric [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I was able to display my photographs on the wall in my office with the Picture hanging strips. The brick wall would have otherwise made it impossible to place the collection on the wall. It is also easy for me to remove the frames and replace the photos as needed to display another group of pictures.
I've always had a love for Command strips, so I was excited to try the picture hanging strips. I'm using mine to hold a fairly lightweight 24x18 cork message board (which is a bit larger than these small strips are meant for) and they're staying up no problem. I highly recommend these strips to those that just don't want holes in their newly renovated walls or live in rented housing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We had just run out of our small picture hanging strips when we were given an opportunity to sample more. We use the small picture hanging strips every Christmas season to stick to our 3m hooks to hang our stockings on our mantle. I love using the hooks and hanging strips because it keeps the mantle free for other decorations without putting a hole in the wood. When it's time to remove the strips, they come off just as they're supposed to so long as you follow the directions and pull straight down. If you pull out instead of down, they will not remove easily as designed. I love using the strips and hope 3M keeps them in their product line up forever. Spending time in an RV that has lots of wallpaper these are great for hanging small plaques and momentos. Makes it more homey. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Just got a new cell phone, but have to wait a while for a cover. My old cover is too big so I used one of the small size picture hanging strips (hook & loop style) to keep the phone from falling out of the cover. Works great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I like the fact that you don't have to make any nail holes, and if you need to remove a picture you can do so without tearing any wall plaster, or leaving unsightly nail hokes that have to be fixed and repainted. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I loved using command strips but I realized that when it's time to move and I'm trying to remove the strips, when I'm pulling down on them like you're suppose to in order to remove them without damaging the walls, it snaps and I'm left with no way to remove the strips without ripping it off the wall, with the paint and them some with it. I even tried with a hair dryer to loosen up the sticky part but it didn't help. It was supposed to save my walls not damage them.
I bought the strips a week ago. I hung a medium picture and another light weight decorative mirror with it. I followed the instructions. Within two hours, my picture frame fell and shattered! In the middle of the night, we heard a very loud bang, it was my mirror falling and shattering another glass bowl decoration! I was really sad because now I've lost a nice frame and my beloved glass bowl!
I bought this again despite the first time I used them my picture went crashing to the floor and broke... In half. The second time everything seemed to be going well then it comes time to remove it and one of the strips peeled the paint right off of the wall! Goodbye security deposit of an otherwise immaculate apartment.
