I just received an old school steel.Filing cabinet two of them to be exact. But they needed a A little love and care. With some sand paper spray paint. From the ordering to the applying, everything went smooth quick and easy
This Rust-Oleum Rusty Metal primer is the best. We're repainting our horse trailer and the caulk sticks right to the primer like it said it would. Can't wait to paint it inside and out.
Worked great! Dried within 15 minutes so I could then apply the color. Used it on my outdoor chair that was looking pretty sad.
This spray came out perfectly! It got the job done quickly for me. I sprayed on a cement statue to paint and it was dry in minutes. 10/10 would recommend.
So far so good. Sprays easily %26 evenly. Am using it on door handles so true test will be how it holds up on the heavier used knobs. Will update!
Have you ever seen a screen door on a submarine? Me either, not the great ideal. What is a great ideal is using Rust-Oleum's Gray Primer/ automotive paint . I paintined my propane tank into a submarine and painted a screen door. When duty calls I go take a dump, when i need to freshen things up i do it with Rust-Oleum. ( No screen doors were installed in submarines making this review. )
Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer is the best and been my go-to for home auto repair work for 30 years. Don't need to remove all rust; it soaks in and smooths the surface a lot. Items painted/sprayed with it many years ago show no signs of new rust. Amazing.
Very easy to use. Fast dry and an amazing color.
Works well but you'll need several cans to cover anything completely, so it's not cost effective vs using regular primer in a paint tin, which is much better for the earth anyway. I used 5 spray cans on a metal bed frame and I never got the complete coverage I wanted, which means it didn't deliver the time or money savings I expected.
I have a beige vinyl bay window that I wanted to paint white. Had to mask off the area to paint it. Paint is very smelly so be prepared. The primer is not as thick as paint so it took two cans and two coats to paint it. I used Rustoleum semi-gloss spray paint on top of it. I'm letting it cure for a few weeks so time will tell if it holds when I open the windows.
