It was so easy to program this remote, although it only works while standing in the garage. After further investigation, it appears the antenna is missing so I'm back to square one.
It did work replacing a GT912 model and I prefer the smaller size . Setting up took some trial and error as instructions and videos were not very clear to me . Once set up properly , it works like a charm .
The GM3T-R 3-Button Remote worked perfectly with my Genie Model 208 which was installed in 1985. The opener itself works flawlessly and has never let us down!
My garage has two garage doors and two old garage door openers. The openers are the old toggle-switch style that has not been used in years. So when my remote for one of the two doors bit the dust, I had trouble finding a new remote that worked with the old toggle style openers for anything near a reasonable price. This one wasn't exactly cheap, but it was one of the few that cost less than buying a new garage. It was simple to program. And once programmed, I could reset the toggle switches so that nobody could steal my code just by opening the remote and noting the switch positions. As an added bonus, it has three buttons, so I was able to program it to open either door. So far, I am very pleased. Only time will tell if it will continue to work reliably for years.
It Worked!!! I was so excited when my granddaughter came over and I handed it to her and she and her husband went to work! I had bought a home with only one opener, and it was inconvenient with 2 of us, I am older and it didn't make sence to me, BUT when they got here ot was only a little while and garage door opened right up and closed again!!! Thank you for being so quick to get it to me.
Nice replacement for my old opener. Wish they had just a SINGLE opener. I don't have 3 garage doors!!
We have an ancient Genie operator and never could find the remote for it after we moved into our house, so we ordered this remote and it works perfectly. It was easy to program, even with our old 12 DIP switch setup.
The package arrived as promised. The product works fine. My genie garage door opener was installed before I bought the property in 2006, so I don't know how old it is. I simply matched the 12 switches in the remotes to those in the opener.
I work at a Hardware Store but all of our remotes are only compatible with Garage Door Openers that have "learning buttons". My Genie Opener does not, so I went direct to Genie online and ordered the two-pack GM3T-R 3-Button Genie Master Remote. Product arrived couple of days later, double-packed (!), programmed both units in 5 minutes. Flawless product and superb customer experience. I highly recommend Genie Company!
The GM3T-R 3 Button Genie Master Remote works beautifully to open the garage door if you are inside the garage. However, if you are outside and want to open the door it works occasionally. Other times it doesn't work at all. I have to walk around the house and go in the back door, then use the remote to open the door from the inside. I have changed the batteries and checked all the settings. What more can I do.
