les than most enough parts to get job done
I don't have an 8' door but I have a transom over a regular 7' door. Putting that end of the track up that high with the standard opener made it fall about 6" short of fully opening the door. This extension solved that problem allowing the door to be pulled back further and thus open more. It was easy to install even with having to take the standard opener back down in order to do it. For the few little pieces included in this kit the price is pretty steep. But Walmart had the best deal. It's just too bad that Genie doesn't make an opener with a slightly longer track to begin with. After all, how much more would it cost to have the track 12" longer?
I had the garage door opener but it was for a 7 ft. door. My door is an 8ft. door. I looked on line and Wal-Mart had the extension kit for a good price. Ordered it and got within just a few days.It had all the right parts, went together easily. Everything's working. Thank You Wal-Mart.
Overall this product met my expectations. The price was steep, but Walmart had the best price for this product and delivery was within a couple of business days. Product was easy to install and works great with my garage door and Genie opener.
