These shelves are a little expensive, but you are able to store a lot on them and they are very sturdy. The chrome looks great.
Really good shelve but we're a little pricey, but very good quality and heavy duty! Very easy to construct.
Wanted something nice for my garage, shelves look very nice. Easy to set up. Packaging came in all beat up on FedEx, but company took care of replacing brackets that broke.
Great buy
I bought these shelves to store heavy file boxes and office supplies (i.e. cases of copy paper). These shelves took the weight and didn't budge! VERY sturdy, easy to assemble with no tools required, but if you want to adjust a shelf, better have a rubber mallet on hand to loosen the shelf from the spacer. This is a high quality, commercial-grade product that is priced very well. Beats the socks off those erector-set shelves that wobble with the slightest load and take forever to build. I would definitely buy these again and recommend them without hesitation.
I've gone through plenty of "pressed wood" (aka, particle board) furniture in the past and was foolishly searching through "wood" cabinets trying to find an affordable storage solution when I came upon these. These are lighter, stronger, more stable, and much easier to move than those pressed wood pieces of garbage. About the only potential downside is that these are open shelves, so there is no pressed wood frame painted to look like real wood to hide your items from view. The packaging is about 50 inches in length, so I just had to fold down one of my seats in my Ford Focus hatchback and slide it in... BAM! Good to drive home. While the package does have some weight to it, I had no problem flinging it up onto my shoulder and carrying it up three flights of stairs to my apartment. It was ridiculously easy to put together; took me 30 minutes to assemble, no tools required. It is SOLID and the shelves can hold a LOT of weight. I have over 250 pounds on the bottom shelf and there is no sign of any stress. As I am a loose canon who likes to play by his own rules, I gave it a good shake after loading it up and found it to be extremely stable... mind you, I also loaded it properly with the heaviest items on the bottom and the lightest on the higher tiers. The chrome frame is beautiful and very durable. In summation, this is a fantastic storage solution if space is at a premium in your home as it is mine, and it is a much better overall value than pressed wood storage cabinets. My only regret is that I had never considered steel shelves before.
First of all the only reason this didn't get a 5 star was because of the shipping method, FedX! Box was damaged and 2 of the shelves were scratched on the ends. The shelving unit itself is wonderful and very sturdy. A little difficulty putting it together by myself, but it can be done.
just got it. very sturdy, easy to assemble. but cannot get it perfectly straight -- it leans to one side ever so slightly. I will be using it in a playroom, so I will secure it against the wall with extra screws, just to make sure it doesn't tip over around kids. Overall beautiful appearance and still much sturdier than other cheap shelves.
The assembled product looks good and holds a multitude of stuff. It, however, is NOT a one person job to assemble. We couldn't get the shelves to slide down to fully cover the black collars, but we were able to get them well enough seated to produce a rigid shelf unit. Too 70+ old ladies were able to out think the system (you try holding up 4 poles that are 4 feet apart, while you slip a shelf down their 6 foot length) by using boxes and coolers as spacers to hold the loose shelves. Consider this project a challenge to your intellect.
I received my order via UPS. I paid full price for this item. When I received the package it looked as if someone had returned it to the store then Walmart.com quickly sent it to me without inspecting it. Package was torn at the corners and the box was taped up improperly. I will no longer purchase from walmart.com. Buyers beware.
