I think this is a very good guitar. I read a lot of reviews on guitars around the same price and a lot of them said they had shoddy workmanship and this one seems to have excellent workmanship.
This product was purchased for a friend who was a "total beginner." It was recommended by a musician friend who said to get a name brand guitar. He mentioned this one that he knew about, and said for the price, it's a really nice beginner guitar. And it is! It's especially nice that it comes with a few goodies, too. I would highly recommend this.
Wonderful first guitar without being 'cheap' like most first guitars appear to be. Got for a foster kid. Came in earlier than expected which was blessing because kid was moved without notice. It came as he was leaving. This made his move easier.
Sound of the guitar is very nice! I got it as a gift for my father whose played guitar for 50 plus years and he was impressed with the quality!!
I Bought 2 in different colors for my wife and myself. They are gorgeous, as expected from Gibson. Delivery to my local store only took 2 days. We are really looking forward to learning to play.
I bought this guitar as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He has never played the guttar before, and I saw other reviews that this was a good beginner guitar. A friend of ours that is in a band told us that it was a good choice to start with. So far my boyfriend loves it.
I bought this primarily for my daughter (and myself for occassional use). It is light and sounds pretty good. For the price I paid, it is a great choice.
This is a beautiful guitar for a bargain. It comes complete with extra strings, picks, and a strap. My only criticism is that there was no case. This is a minor issue. We bought a backpack type padded bag for easy transport. This guitar was purchased as a Christmas gift for a 13 year-old girl who lit up when she first saw it and hasn't been able to put it down since. It is a perfect gift.
At the sale price[$49.99] this turns out to be a good bargain.If you want to get someone a guitar who thinks they might want to learn how to play then spend a little money on this.If they stick with it them you can upgrade.I bought this as a Present for a sick friend and had my Artist Buddy[Schaffner Designs] splash some paint on it.I got the Autumny looking Honeyburst since my friend is a Hunter.If i kept one for myself I'd change out the saddle and the nut for a Bone or Tusq.Twist up some Martin Srings and have a servicable Guitar.
Since this is a Christmas present for my grandson and it's only Dec. 15 I can't give a full review. Delivery was timely and guitar looks nice - I only opened the box and peeked to make sure everything looked o.k. - I didn't play with it so don't know about quality ect... This guitar was a little higher priced than others , but it;s a Gibson , so hopefully it's a better quality than some of the cheaper ones.
