This head is brand new. It is no longer made. The old style Ludwig Logo gives it a vintage look, making it perfect for vintage Ludwig 14" Snare Drums from the 1960s or 1970s. The heads aren't that old, but look really awesome on my 1966 Ludwig Downbeat Snare Drum! Clear bottom allows viewing of the interior of the drum.
Low collar head is designed for Ludwig snares, especially vintage gear. Sounds great on my Jazz Fest and Supra.
These are the only heads I like for my chrome snare drums.
