I'm impressed with how well the Noise Grabber Mass Loaded Vinyl 2 lb. 12" x 1' (1 sq. ft.) MLV Soundproofing worked. They were easy to install and the there's a noticeable difference.
I didn't think these would work but, they are amazing. The television in my guest room was in a corner and every time a relative would come over the echo would drive me crazy in my bedroom. I only had to cover the back wall of the cubby hole where the entertainment center would sit. Amazing how there is no sound at all right now, it is just completely quiet. Simple to use and measure, cut, and stick to whatever surface you need. Simple process to fix an annoying problem.
This is great for soundproofing pretty much anything. we used it in a sub-woofer box we made to cut down on the vibration of the base. worked really well. i had 1sq.ft squares ( 5) so we covered the whole box an left the speaker open. works great an sound good to.
I'm not real excited about this product. I have a problem in my living room with sound reverberation because I have tile floors and concrete walls and ceilings and while they did help it still sounds like a cave a little bit. I put 2 behind the TV which does help but maybe I just expected too much but the room is only 12x16. I really didn't want to buy a rug but that might be my only solution.
The tiles are super heavy. They are solid rubber, like tire rubber. I was thinking it was going to be a peel and stick lighter tile. Won't work for us, but it's really heavy duty. If you're looking for high quality and super solid and durable, these will work. They were curved on the edges from shipping, so be prepared for that before you install them.
