I received the soundproofing today. I have some very loud, inconsiderate neighbors, which is why I need this. Pretty sure this will do the trick, if it can keep out music noise, it should be able to keep neighbor noise out too!.
This sound proofing material is really heavy. I haven't got a chance to try out if it works or not but it appears to be a great thick and heavy quality so chances are good :)
I have a grandson who plays drums and uses our garage. We suffered & our neighbors suffered. We used this to line the walls of the garage and it's amazing how much it's absorbed the sound from his drums. Not 100% but darn close. Enough so it doesn't bother anyone anymore. It was super easy to install. Just staple it to the walls overlapping each piece a little bit. We used this roll & bought a couple longer rolls to cover the walls & ceiling in his space. The hubs had built a wall inside the garage so he has a small indoor space to practice. We have tons left so it seems the plan now is to line the walls & ceiling in my hubs basement workshop to deaden the sound of his power tools. If I could give this 10 stars I would.
After we put this on we can't hear anything outside of the room. I was amazed couldn't even hear the neighbors motorcycle driving right by our house. I would love to have this all over the house lol. Super happy with this and so glad we got it.
I've never even known this product existed until recently. We live in a poorly-designed house and there's so many places I am looking forward to installing this soundproofing. My only concern (and the reason I didn't give 5 stars) is that it's quite a heavy material, so I'm worried that my ability to install this securely might be impacted. But that's not the product's fault. Looking forward to having a quieter house and car!
The vinyl works pretty well for damping sound, it is heavy and hard to handle.
The product is fine but you dont get 4.5ft by 30ft as advertised. It's only 4ft by 30ft! So you're only getting 6/7th of what's advertised!
