The bags are wonderful but the package was messed up from shipping.
They are gussetted polyethylene bags, 20"x3.5"x8", 0.8mil thick. They are made in China. They are packed 1000 in a box in groups of ~100. The box does not include ties. They are exactly what I was looking for to freeze batard loaves. They arrived (in Alexandria VA) the day after I ordered them. Even with the 100% "non-member fee" they're a bargain at $0.04 a bag.
From the quantity sold it is obvious that these are for commercial use but they are just right for large homemade loaves. I guess I'll have a lifetime supply!
Perfect for bread loaves of varying sizes - length, width or thickness. Also good for other bakery and food items.
The bags are adds described but I was looking for something slightly thicker. I use these bags for storing homemade bread. They work great for that purpose but also wanted to freeze my loaves. The bags seem a little thin for freezing. Overall a great food bag to have around the house.
The price is good but I have o.80 mil bags that I bought previously and these are nowhere near as thick. They are the same as the 0.20 mil bags I already have. Quite disappointed but since they were so reasonable, I will just double bag of needed.
