I bought this wastebasket for my paper shredder in my home. The price is very reasonable and Walmart delivers saving me the pain of carrying things on the bus.
holds trash very well
It's the size I wanted for a recycle bin. I didn't want the "official" bright blue recycle can with the recycle symbol for two reasons. 1) the recycle bin is smaller than I wanted, as I recycle more than is put in the trash. 2) I live in a small one-bedroom apartment with a very small kitchen. There is no place to store the bin, so I have it just on the floor in the kitchen. The bright blue doesn't match my color scheme. This Rubbermaid Beige can is a nice neutral color and blends in with the linoleum color. It is well-made. Not much else to say about a simple wastebasket without a lid! I wanted a bin with a lid, but the 7 gal size I was looking for at a low price all come only in black.
The quality you would expect from Rubbermaid with a good price.
Was looking for a wastebasket for my Pantry and this totally fit the bill. It's bigger than fancy wastebaskets yet not overly big. And Rubbermaid is a good company. I am very happy with this wastebasket.
Wish I'd get everything I ordered in one day. These obviously shipped from Memphis, not too far from my locale. I ordered the 7 gallon in black and the 7 gallon in beige. Why the black cost more than the beige, I don't know, but it does. The odd thing is, the black has some unfinished edges, blobby streaks for lack of another word. The beige is perfect. I purchased the beige for the master bath and the black for the utility room. They are very sturdy and I imagine they will out last me. Keep in mind, they do sell the 3.5 gallon which is probably more doable for most bathrooms and utility rooms. This size is rather large. For example, the standard size Walmart plastic bags that your groceries are packed in at the store, is way too small for this size trash can. You would need to purchase trash bags. I say this because I do try and utilize those little plastic bags after I unload my groceries and these trash cans are way too large for those bags. Very durable products.
Good sturdy waste can for everyday use.
I love that these are affordable, very light and yet big enough to accommodate a LOT of trash. I have one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, one in the living room, one in the kitchen - yes, pretty much around the apartment. It's been taking me more than three weeks now and have not filled anyone of them yet. :)
I have owned several of these plastic trash cans. I have a trash can cabinet that was designed and built for this particular can. It is the ideal size for kitchen waste. The drawback is the stiffeners under the lip at several points on the perimeter. These raise the stress at those points and eventually cause fractures. That's why I have had to replace them several times over the years.They can be repaired using clear package tape, and I used them in the garage, etc. (Cannot add photo as requested)
Disappointed that you keep changing products. You used to have a three pack at a great price that I bought and you no longer have them. the metal cans are too big and these are too small. I wish you would stop changing your products becasue when I have customers asking for products you no longer carry and I have to search else where for the product it becomes very inconvient and time consuming.
