I buy 13 gal. tall kitchen bags and the Rubbermaid trash can I bought is the perfect size. The price at Sam's club was the lowest I found when shopping.
It's best for yard waste. This can has a high center of gravity and falls over at the least little thing. I'll never get a can wider at the top and lower at the bottom again. Nothing but spilled garbage, recycling, whatever. It's best for outdoors, but has to be weighed down. I won't use it anymore in the house. My fingers get stuck in the side ridges, and one of these days, I'm going to break a finger if I keep using the can. Look at the picture. That's the place.
I have owned several of these plastic trash cans. I have a trash can cabinet that was designed and built for this particular can. It is the ideal size for kitchen waste. The drawback is the stiffeners under the lip at several points on the perimeter. These raise the stress at those points and eventually cause fractures. That's why I have had to replace them several times over the years.They can be repaired using clear package tape, and I used them in the garage, etc. (Cannot add photo as requested)
I thought this was a 13 gallon no 10.5 gallon! Was not delivered in a box, you wrapped in in a plastic wrap with tag, delivered late the. When it was delivered it was left at my garage door not my front door
