We have been using the Rubbermaid Slim Jim's for a while now without a lid. I thought that they only had the swinging lid, but I finally found this one. I LOVE it! It is super sturdy, so the hinges should last. It clips securely onto the trash can, so it doesn't go anywhere. It is definitely worth the money.
Fits great on the Slim Jim Rubbermaid Trash Can
While I love LOVE the lid (it snaps down onto the trash can and keeps the bags in place perfectly!) I have to say that I am entirely disappointed in the construction of this product. The lip that goes around the trash can is fairly flimsy and mine broke days within my receiving it. If it was a bit more sturdy I would give this a 5 star rating - however since it is so easily broken (we were not even handling it roughly when it broke) I can only give it a two star rating and that is only because I think that it COULD be a great item if it were made just a bit better.
