I've only owned this for a few weeks so I cannot speak to the long-term durability of this product, but when it arrived I was surprised by how huge the container is; I suppose this is why it's called "Commercial". It works well and the step for the lid seems a lot more durable than the 3-4 I've owned before it. At first, the mechanism to secure the bag seemed like it wouldn't work...but the design of the metal hinges to hold the bag actually works quite well! Overall, I'm happy with this product and would recommend it.
The picture is of the stainless steel finish but the finish is actually the grey plastic finish. Returned it. Buyer beware.
