Landmann Northwoods Fire Pit

I made the right decision!

This worked out great for my husbands surprise birthday party! I put it together in less than half hour. We used it several times over the weekend and it was awesome! The price point is excellent- under $80- compared to others that I considered. The fire pit is solid but easy to move. The grate was perfect for the cast iron skillet. Awesome product!

This fireplace very nice

The fireplace is large, It came quickly and was packaged very well. I had no problem putting it together just looking at the diagrams , but it has instructions if needed . It has a tiny fire poker, I'm not sure that is a useful tool so will use my own . There is a cooking rate if you want to cook on it, the top has a hinged door that opens for feeding the fire and the top is completely screened in to keep the embers from escaping. I really like it.

Too Soon To Tell

Price was right and the shape/size was what I was looking for, shipping was fast. Only used once so far but the quality should show over time (not in a week per this requested review) The cooking grate is not as it appears in the photo yet will do should cooking be required. Long story short, walmart offered this item less than anyone else and shipping was free-

Cool Fire Pit

Nice for the price. Not quite as sturdy as I had hoped but still pretty robust. I think it is worth the money I spent as it is really cool for camping and the screen enclosure on the top allows for a large fire and still keeps the large embers from blowing away.

One way to be rid of Hurricane Sandy's debris.

Bought this to burn the piles of smaller tree debris that came down last fall. Does that job well, and gives a reason to have an evening glass of wine outside by a small fire. The suggested addition (a surprise in the instructions) of 5 lbs. of sand inside the bottom falls well short of what I'd recommend - 20 lbs. is more like it. This was inexpensive, and I don't expect it to last for years. As a first one, it seems like a good place to start. It is reasonably well made for its price.

Good value

This is sturdier than I expected, and had no trouble assembling it. The screen top pieces don't fit together tightly, still you can hardly tell and it looks nice and is perfectly functional. Very handy styling, with the all-around handles, attractive handles for lifting the top, and one side of the top lifts for access to fire & grill. Only wish it came with a cover. I was looking for something low to the ground that I could tend to while sitting, yet is large enough to grill for several people, and this is perfect. The grill appears to be chrome and seems good-quality, but it's slightly less than half the size of the pan. I would have liked a bit larger grill, but it's big enough to handle my needs. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

Decent for the price

Assembly was pretty basic. About 1/2 hour. The screens seem a little flimsy, but dollar for dollar seems like a good buy. 24" logs fit well.

rust very quickly. I have taken all the precautions that I could even. making sure its in an elevated covered place when not in use. But love the little grill that comes with it

It came defective

Item came defective. It had two left panel screens and no right panel screen. I could have drilled a hole in it i suppose to make it work, but then there would be a hole where one was not supposed to be right in the front. I took it out of the box and made sure all the pieces were there and I almost started putting it together, fortunately the first step involved the side panels. This review is not based on the products user and completely based on the defective product i recieved.
