I have a child with Down Syndrome. When we have her birthday party the children who come usually have Autism or Down Syndrome. Some are normal. Since the ones with Autism or Down Syndrome would have difficulty coloring or using a Fabric Marker on a t-shirt, these crayons work great. I have simple pictures for them to color, then have a helper color the picture's outline black so there's definition to the picture. Then another adult irons the picture on the front of the t-shirt and it's done. A beautiful work of art! Please don't discontinue these crayons. There is nothing to replace them with!
NOOO!!! I really wanted these for a Girl Guide project; I am down to stubs on all my old ones. I use these with mu Guide unit to create pillow cases with their promise, law and Motto and some history of the World Guide Flag, now I am not sure what I am going to use, the crayons went a long way. Why do they always discontinue the best products :(
I bought 100 boxes of these fabric crayons for a summer day camp activity. Shipping was reasonably fast and the crayons are as advertised. When first applied, the colors are very muted but become more vibrant when heated. This also applies when the colored items are washed ... the colors become more vibrant as the item dries. The instructions advise not to use a dryer when washing, but I did and the result was good. I would definitely purchase again.
I'm lucky to have found some packs in an outlet store. Making Christmas gifts using them. I hope they come back so I can replace the outlet store ones when they're gone. This is really the best most awesome way to do fully custom iron on transfer images. Kids can use them and grow up with their art still intact years later. Adults can rekindle their childhood using crayons then transfer it to their adult life on something for daily use. Please know your customers haven't forgotten how cool these can be.
I had hepatitis when I was 10 and was out of school for 7 weeks. To keep me entertained, my mom bought me a stack of coloring books and a box of these crayons. She picked her favorites and turned them into a quilt . . . 51 years ago. I wanted to make quilts like this for my granddaughters, but it appears these crayons have been discontinued. (´;︵;`)
I am an art teacher who uses these crayons for a t-shirt project with my second grade students. It is the only way that students can practice and color before it is actually applied to the t-shirt which makes it invaluable. The students research an animal for our zoo field trip and then learn to draw the animal in art class. Then they make their own t-shirt design of their animal to wear to the zoo. I am having trouble finding more fabric crayons and it would out this long time and well loved project in jeopardy. Please, please don't discontinue making these fabric crayons!
I have used this product since1984. My sons, myself, and now my grandchildren have used this product. Easy to transfer pictures onto non cotton t shirts. Everyone is proud that they made it themselves. Highly recommend this product to all craft people, Especially Moms
I love these crayons. Truly tragic if they are permanently discontinued. The ability to color on paper and iron-on transfer them to a T-shirt or other cotton fabric was (1) magical for kids, (2) gave joy in wearing your art and (3) made very practical inexpensive unique gifts a kid OR adult could make easily. I don't know how many wonderful birthday gifts we made together for friends just using these crayons, a piece of tracing paper, a coloring book and an inexpensive t-shirt. The only thing I wanted - more colors!
It's the only crayon for fabric. It gives you so much more control. You can actually shade color or make it bold. Makes blending possible. Please. More people would bye it if they knew the different types of things they could use them for. Even repairing old worn out areas on clothing. Even make clothing POP! They are the only thing out there like them. Trust me I've tried!
The students drew their pictures and tried to color darkly. I then went over the pictures myself and still little to no transfer. very disappointed. Fabric matkers worked much better.
