This is an excellent, heavy-duty tape. It took good care of my packages, was easy to use, and let address labels show through. Most importantly, it STAYED TIGHTLY STUCK throughout the rigorous mailing process. I use LOTS of tape, and from now on, I'll make it a point to use THIS one. Thank you, SPARCO, for a fine product!
I really like this tape. I have used it for packages and to hold up cardboard. We have 4 3 mths old kittens and they like to get behind my freezer so I had to put up a piece of cardboard to keep them out. I tried other packaging tape and they clawed through it like nothing, but this packaging tape has held up to their claws. Its easy to cut and it doesn't go flying all over when you need a long piece, it just lays down in the direction you put it. I like the heavy weight feeling of it. I had trouble getting the outside film off, it was stuck to the side of the top and bottom roll that's the only thing I can see wrong with it. Once I got the film started it came off easy, it's just getting it started is the problem. To start the roll they have a solid piece of paper with arrows telling you where the beginning of the roll is, so easy to find and get started. It has great sticking power and it doesn't leave a residue when you pull if off. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
Was eager to use and evaluate the complimentary Sparco Sealing Tape since I routinely ship 20 to 30 lb boxes from Florida to the middle of Montana., approximately 2,500 miles away. Have three small Grandchildren, who are too far from shopping and toy centers, like WalMart. So, over a six to eight week period we buy toys, clothes, gifts, and school supplies to box-up and ship to them through the USPS. Our packaged, cardboard, 'Goodie-Boxes' travel by truck and are loaded and offloaded many times on their journey to Grandpa's little ones. It is extremely important that the boxes and sealing-tape are manufactured for HEAVY-DUTY use applications. After using the first roll of Sparco sealing tape was very impressed at how easy it is to use, how heavy-duty the tape is, it's clarity, and the strength of the adhesive. At the USPS website, https://www.usps.com/ship/preparing-domestic-shipments.htm?, they advise to, “Tape your box shut and reinforce the seams with 2-inch wide packing tape.” In addition to the top and bottom flaps, there are 12 seams to reinforce on the sides of the box. The Sparco tape roll is a generous sixty-four feet, and completely sealed and reinforced two of my 16” x 16” x 16' boxes. The strength of the adhesive is very impressive, and perfect for reinforcing all the box seams. Have used many other expensive sealing tapes claiming to be heavy-duty, but this Sparco tape is just that, and less expensive then the 'other' major brands. I will use it from now to package all of my 'Goodie-Boxes' . . . . . . highly recommend this tape, TIPS: -- You can use a dispenser, however I am more comfortable with just a sharp pair of scissors, coated with a drop of cooking oil to keep the ultra-strong adhesive from building up on the cutting edges. -- You can fold a half inch of the tape on to itself after you make your cuts, but it it really isn't necessary if you lay the roll down on its side. -- Use this clear tape to seal-over your address and return labels to protect from moisture during transport – rain or snow, which could smear your unprotected labels.
This is a nice solid, strong packaging tape. It has a nice thickness to it that will keep boxes together nicely and safely in the mailing system. I can't stand tape the strips and breaks while I'm dispensing, and I have to stop and try to get the roll going again. The Sparco tape is heavy duty, and does not strip or break! It goes on nicely and easily without headaches. These rolls will fit any standard tape dispenser gun, or you can just roll it out by hand and cut it with scissors. Each roll is 164 feet of 1 7/8" wide tape, and you get six rolls in this pack. This is a great deal, and I'll be buying this when I run out of tape from the six pack I received. It will be a money saver buying tape in this six pack!
What can I elaborate about tape? Tape is tape right? Well, it is what is......clear packing tape. This bundle cones with 6 large very sturdy rolls. Ironically, I use tons & I do mean T-O-N-S of this stuff. U see, I order lots of things considering all stores are not brick & mortar. Therefore, quite often, things tend to look different online as opposed to the look in hand. That means, I have to send things back more often than I'd like. So, because of my daily mailing, I need reliable packing tape to secure my packages. I've been using a small country's worth of the dollar store stuff because there isn't a lot on the rolls & they frequently change the type/brand they carry. Which means, the rolls of tape are next to nothing. About six or seven feet or so of tape per roll. And because it isn't as strong I like, I have to triple up on the amount to secure reinforcement of the wrapping. Like, if u go to a dollar store now ("Dollar Tree"), u will find a a scotch tape brand roll of this attached to the red dispenser cutter. It looks nice but the amount of tape is about four feet if that. That's how they "getchu". Well, this couldn't've come at a better time for me as I've got numerous packages to send back & to mail to others. This tape I just got today is soooooooo worth this review. It is thick like I love in a tape such as this which also determines the strength. It's an abundant sized roll which means it will last a long long time. And to come with SIX ROLLS IN THE PACK??? Hunneeeeee....I am a happy camper. Now the price is ridiculous some places. Average is between $8-$17. That's a large price gap but the gap gives u more bargaining options. The price range us a great one in my opinion for such superior quality tape. Walmart actually was one of the most expensive places to buy this. Can u believe they were asking for $47 for some tape??????? Yes, this 6-pack was nearly $50! No way Jose'! Bottom line is that I spend a lot of this stuff & am glad to have found this because it will last me for quite a while & it is most definitely heavy duty strong & secure. So, be sure to get some of this & keep it on hand. I'm sure u could find many uses for it. Kudos to "Sparco" for making a great tape.
I was very happy to get this tape I have 3 grandchildren who live in South Carolina and I live in New Jersey so as you can imagine I ship a lot of stuff to them and I use a lot of tape to seal my boxes, and need a heavy duty sealing tape that won't get weak on me. So now that Christmas is near the rush has started with my shipping, and the tape is 1 7/8" wide and 164" long so I should get a lot off a each the roll. There is 6 rolls in the packaging I got, the first box I wrapped with the tape was very nice it was very sticky and wrapped around the box very easy, it's nice and clear which is good because I like to tape over the label so it's legible even if it gets wet and won't smudge the address. It was easy to pull the tape from the roll and didn't rip uneven like some tapes do. I would defiantly buy it again and would tell anyone who needs to tape boxes for mailing or even to tape boxes for moving to go ahead and buy it, it's well worth it. I wanted to take a picture of the box but it was clear so didn't really show up very well lol.
I received this product as part of the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. I just received it about 3 days ago. It came just in time to send off some packages. I decided to use this tape so I could try this out. This tape is very thick and has some really good adhesive power. It comes with 6 rolls to the package and that would be more then enough to do a lot of packages or to do a lot of moving boxes with. You would not have to worry about this tape ripping as you are trying to use it. Or having the tape come off as soon as you put it on like some of the cheap tapes there are. each roll has 164' so that really is a lot of tape. I would say that is a great value for anyone that needs packing tape. I used this on the tyvek envelopes and it had no problem with being able to stick to it. Some of the other tapes I have used do not stick very well to this type of envelope. The other tapes I have used also seem to get tangled around each other, but the thickness of this tape doesn't seem to let this happen. This is a really great tape and I would recommend it to everyone.
When I first saw the Sparco Heavyweight Package Sealant Tape, I did not think it was so powerful. I was wrong! I'm very impressed with this product. I placed this sealant tape all around a cardboard box. First I placed it outside, overnight when it was below 30 degrees. I checked on it the next day and it was not coming off. I placed the same box right next to my heater in our home. It still did not come off. The box got snowed on and the box was wet but the tape was perfect! This is a heavyweight and powerful tape! The Sparco Heavyweight Sealant Tape is high performance! And boxes take a beating during shipping. This tape is a protectant. It securely closes a wide variety of surfaces. And yes, all season adhesive! It's intensity and capability is excellent holding power when the weather is hot or cold. It sure does work well in extreme temperatures. It has pressure sensitive material. This is a very durable sealant tape. Perfect for making those boxes stay sealed and not open during the worst times. It resists scraping, abrasion and scuffing. Resists coming apart and splitting. The Sparco Sealant Tape assures safe, unpolluted and reliable box delivery. It adjusts, adapts and conforms to the box surface. Also, it keeps out any dampness and moisture. It will keep out soil, dirt, grime and dust. Sparco Heavyweight Sealant has pressure sensitive poly material. You can never have to much tape in the house.This Sparco 6 pack of sealing tape is nice to have. The tape itself is nice and wide . It is transparent . I love to put a layer of transparent tape over my envelopes it creates at waterproof effect ,which prevents ink from running. The Sparco transparent sealing tape is very sticky but not to the point of a struggle if it sticks to your skin. It kept my package sealed nice and tight. It rolled off nice and easily. I feel very confident in the Sparco Sealing Tape,very strong,durable and useful. I recommend Sparco Sealing Tape.
when it says heavyweight-- it means it! It has been by far my favorite tape! It's very durable and doesn't tear like other tapes I've tried previously. The tape is heavy and very sticky. The only downside is in the package, the rolls are somewhat difficult to separate from each other. I would definitely get this tape again.
