Purchased 2 months ago to reach lower limbs of the many Live Oaks along my driveway. Out of the box it was easy to assemble. Started with 1-2 pulls. Adjusted the chain and it cut through the branches quick and easy. Some up to 6". Not as heavy duty as the $600 - $700 competitor, but well worth the price.
Little tough starting af first but once fuel was in the system never had a problem starting again from cold. In under and hour I was able to cut many high limbs Ive been trying to get to for awhile. Works great! Highly recommend
Was a early Christmas gift to my husband who used it today and said it did a good job. He seems to be pleased with it.
Works well put together an added a can of 40to1 fuel pumped it up pulled about 3 times and started make sure that you have oil in for chain an adjust the oil flow
Really easy to handle, really like it. Just wish it came with a shoulder strap.
I'm impressed by the quality - it's well-made and effective. My only COMPLAINT is in the size and shape of the cutting head - specifically the chain oil reservoir. The saw head tends to get caught on every small branch, and suffers from lack of maneuverability compared to an electric version (different brand/design) that I've used for years - especially important when extended. Regardless, freedom from the cord in certain applications(and adopting new techniques to plan and clear a cutting path) should still make this a great purchase.
I have used this thing everyday for a week. It runs good cut through some bid limbs. Lost a screw in the handle so I had to replace that. For the price you can't go wrong. Could not see paying 1100.00 for something I'm going to use couple times a year.
When you get it running it works very well but it is the hardest starting machine I have ever owned and that included hundreds of gas powered engines not sure why it starts do hard but you need to prime it and pull at least a dozen times before you even get a response then when it does start it runs great that's what is weird anyways wish it started better but it does the job very well when you get it going
I bought this about two weeks ago and have used it. It works good but everything about it seems cheap. The pull start assemble feels alot different than better brands and sounds cheap when starting it till its running. The kind thst makes you pray it doesnt break when starting it!! The rod assembly feels ok but ive beem warned that the gear assembly is cheap and I confirmed this compared to better models. Overall... I would say it will work fine for the average homeowner with light cutting but anything more than that hold your breath!
Received this pole saw and when I opened the box the switch was busted up. Had to return. It was handled to rough in shipping.
