I have cut wood since I was little. Preparing a gas saw, mix, gas, oil, trying to start, breaking cord, and smelling like gas when done. I bought this saw after using a smaller off brand for around the house and I will never go back to gas. As long as you have power, it will start every time, no loud motor, no gas smell, shuts off immediately, and hands/arms don't get tired. No neighbor has ever complained and I have been out late using it. This saw has plenty of power easily cut thru 12 inches and trimming was simple. The cord is no different than watching out for your feet and legs. I would recommend this saw to anyone tired of making gas motors try to run. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I am very happy with this chainsaw. I am light user mostly to maintain yard with mature trees and shrubs. This saw has plenty power and seems sturdy for the price. Plus walmart.com was best price, even better than Amz0n.
I bought this to cut down two trees. One was a smaller tree with about a 12” trunk. The other had about a 20” trunk and was higher than the roof on my house. As a 50+ year old female, I was able to cut down both trees and get the trunks to a height for stump grinding. This is easy to assemble, start, and use. It does not have the vibration or weight of a gas powered saw. I would buy it again.
Never used an electric chainsaw before but looked over the reviews and some articles to decide and glad I did. I don't have as much property as before so it's easier to get an extension cord almost everywhere. Had a huge tree cut down in my front yard but they didn't cut it into small enough logs for me to move so I was hoping for a chainsaw that would without having to be gas. This chainsaw worked amazingly. It's easy to get to the bar and chain and easy to adjust or tighten. I cut some logs that were over 2 feet in diameter and smaller ones were a breeze. Didn't realize it didn't come with bar and chain oil but glad I read over the entire manual and found that, but it seems to use up a full reservoir in 3 hours of cutting. All in all this chainsaw is great and I love it! Look at the photos for some reference of what I cut up.
We bought our Worx 14.5 Amp 16" chain saw in April of this year. My husband is 85 years old and I'm 67. We needed something easy to start and still light enough for us to handle as we cleared brush and small trees off of our 5 acres. It performs beautifully, and it is so easy to use. It oils itself as you use it, and has a simple tension knob to keep the chain just tight enough.
Best chainsaw I've ever used! (besides gas that is, but gas gets clogged up and hard to start if not regularly used) I use a generator and a garden cart with 100' extension cord I've cut Hugh 24" diameter trees! True! and the chain stayed sharp longer that any ever used by me electric or gas!
This is a very well-built and sturdy electric chainsaw. It's easy to handle and gets the job done for small to medium sized trees/ logs. It's a little under powered for anything much larger, but it's perfect for the vast majority of the cutting I do.
The only problem I have with this item is when I purchased it I thought it was cordless not electric that needed a cord other than that it seems to be good so far
Someone obviously returned this chainsaw because it did not work and so interesting that Worx would simply ship this back out to someone else.
Bought the chainsaw a 2 months ago. The chain no longer tightens and is now very loose and too dangerous to use. Seems as though the tightening mechanism is broken. I must admit given it quite the workout cuting down some 20yr old yucca plants. Got what i paid for. Very cheap!
