What a fantastic CD!! Living in the "Live Music Capital" it is so nice to hear a truely talented artist get the recognition so deserved. This album of Bo's will make you stand up and say "YES!" this is what we haven't heard in a long time from the music industry and clear channel radio that play the same cookie cutter songs over and over again. Don't walk...RUN to the nearest Walmart or download this album, you will be blessed with Bo's wonderful voice and the soulful, gritty, downright good rockin' southern music that moves the body and soul!!...THANK YOU BO!!!

This CD is exactly what Bo Bice has been talking about since his first CD release. It is definitely down home southern rock, and, in my opinion, a bit of country rock. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I loved Bo on AI and supported him throughout the show. His first CD was a let down because it wasn't the same type of music that we heard Bo sing every week on the show. I saw Bo in concert once last year in Michigan and just a couple of weeks ago in Georgia. He is an excellent live performer and this new album is a great example of his talent as a singer and a musician. I'm so happy for him!! This is truly the music that he was born to make and what a treat for all of us. Just an aside....every song on this CD is terrific, but I cannot get "I'm Gone" out of my head...and I mean that in a good way! GREAT music and great song!! Buy this record!!

With "See the Light", Bo Bice has come home to his down-home southern roots and has finally put out the CD that reflects the true Bo. Having followed Bo since Idol, he has fought his way through RCA's attempts at making him a pop star and serious health issues to create a wonderful swampy, crunchy, countrified, soulful, rockin' CD. There is no song on this CD that I don't like and don't want to hear again and again and again. The title track, "See the Light." and "This Train", both cowritten with Bo's keyboardist, Thomas Lee, are the two best of the CD. "See the Light" makes me want to get down and funky while "This Train" will give you happy feet and make you want to dance. "I'm Gone" is a rock tune that grabs you up by the collar, pulls you close, and gets in your face to tell you that Bo is hittin' the road. Bo's first single off the CD, "Witness" is a cross between rock and gospel and its meaning is greatly enhanced by the video that has been released to several markets. All of the remaining songs on the CD have their own special vibe, but what stands out to me is the constant driving guitars and tamborine, not to mention that Bo's voice is front and center and not hidden behind glittery and glam production. If you want a CD that truly will be in your Top 3 of the year, this is the one to get. Bo Bice is back, America, and he's singing the music that made him a star on Idol. The music that we all longed for two years ago. My only question is "When is CD #3 being released?" If this is the type of music that Bo Bice continues to release, it will be a much better place in the music industry for all of us.

This is exactly the type of songs I expected Bo Bice to sing! Southern Rock at its best. Most of the songs made me want to dance and the two more mellow ones, "Only Words" and "Sinner In A Sin," were such beautiful love songs that melted my heart. I love Bo Bice! I'm so happy he got a new label and was able to make an album his way this time around.

Although I was very disappointed to not see the CD displayed early in the day...I did get them to bring them out. It is an awesome collaboration and could be the best CD I have heard in a long time. I also bought VanZant at the same time and haven't even listened to it yet! It certainly is the real Bo Bice and I highly reccomend it to anyone who was slightly or greatly disappointed in the his first CD. This is too REAL for words!

Bo Bice is such a gifted artist!!!!! I was rooting for him on AI. He should have won the title, but he's doing great without it. This is a great album!!!!! This is better than the lst album. This is Bo's style. He will go far!!!!!!!! I love the songs on this album!!!!

This is the Bo we all voted for on American Idol, not that he is associated with AI in anyway. Bo finnally broke the chains of the record deal keeping him from sharing his full potential with the world at large. See the Light exemplifies true musical talent at its finest. This album is a lttle bit country and a whole lot of Rock and Roll. It's groovy, it's bluesy, it's honest. THIS is the Real Thing. This is Bo Bice at his best. Even if people haven't heard of Bo, anyone who likes music can truly appreciate this album. BO IS BACK AND HE IS ROCKING!!!!!!

See The Light is The Real Thing

I can honestly say, as much as I enjoyed Bo's debut album, The Real Thing, it wasn't what I wanted to hear. Bo is so much better when he's doing his own material. See The Light delivers on that level- Bo Bice singing Bo Bice (remember Valley of Angels?). USA Today had a "pre-review" of Bo's new effort, the author practically trashed it. Saying it wasn't worthy of being called Southern Rock (paraphrasing on my part) and that is was a disappointment. I totally disagree and wonder if the reviewer just doesn't like Bice on a personal level. That said, I do not particularly like the song Witness for the 1st single. I feel it is a bit "overdone" and wonder what radio format it would fit into. I think, See the Light or Aint Gonna Die would have been a better choice for Bo's first single. Strangely enough I think the weakest song on here is Whiskey, Woman and Time ( a Bo favorite amongst Sugar Money fans, I suppose). It's just too long. I would have preferred two newer songs in it's place. Bo Bice is an amazing performer and a truly gifted writer. He has a very unique voice, when you hear it...you know it's Bo. Overall I enjoyed this album and am sure Bo's loyal fans will too. My concern is how the critics will view his sophmore effort. I hope that See the Light is good enough to get Bo some new listeners.

I enjoyed Bo's first CD, but it was not what I expected from him. I loved Bo on AI, because of the Southern Rock influence. The first CD did not have that sound. This is Bo being Bo. This is what I have waited for. Great music!
