Great help for tracking calories and exercise. Could have been priced a little lower. It was on sale elsewhere, but we also needed a talking bathroom scale from Walmart. This hooks on your clothing and shows you the steps you have taken. It encourages you to drink water. You can plug what you ate into it and it gives you the calorie intake. I like it!
This is my second FitBit Zip. I've had other fitness trackers, but I don't need sleep tracking, food data entry, weird activity reminders, bogus "fuel points" or cryptic blinking light displays. In my opinion the Zip hits the sweet spot- accurately tracks my steps and syncs with my iPhone, easily fits in myocket attached to my key ring, and has an easy to read display.
I was never interested in monitoring how active I was but with the recent trend and new technology, I was curious. The fitbit is awesome - I love it's tiny size (fits anywhere and comes with a clip case if you don't want to put it in your pocket) and is a cute bright pinkish/red color. I check it throughout the day and if I see that my step count is low, it motivates me to take the stairs instead of the elevator, park further, or if I'm really far off, hit the gym. It's that extra reminder to keep active so I can stay healthy.
I love my magenta fitbit Zip! It's the only tracker which helped me losing weight and keep myself on track. Everyday I aim to 13,000 steps and with this little guy it's easy to keep track of my steps. The sync with your computer/phone is great, makes you proud everyday when you reach your goal. If you are trying to lose weight, this product will help you!
I purchased the Fitbit Zip from the advice of a friend. After learning how to download it and following my progress, I began wearing it daily. It's easy to use, lightweight and can be easily hidden within my clothing. One huge endorsement I would like to add is that after the first day I couldn't find it. Checking my clothing I realized that it was attached to the waistline of my pajama bottoms had recently been put in the laundry!! I hurried to get it out before ruining it in the wash cycle. Luckily, even though it had literally been "put through the wringer" of the first wash cycle I was able to rescue it and it's been working fine ever since!!
I totally love this product. While I've only owned the Fitbit Zip for a week I've worn it everyday along with logging in all the required information which you can see on their detailed website. So far I've lot 6 lbs. I do my best to walk at least 5000 steps a day and have even reached 10,000. It keeps me motivated and aware. I love that all I have to do is put it in my pocket, it's so small you don't even know it's there. But be careful it's easy to lose track off so try to always keep it in the same place. I got this one over their wrist model because I've heard a little negative feedback on those, (rashes, trouble syncing), plus I don't really like having things on my wrist. So, so far I love this little guy -- it keeps me off my rear and in motion.
I was hesitant at first with spending the amount of money for the Fitbit Zip. When I got home, setting up was very easy and took no time at all. The first day I wore the zip, I was blown away by how accurate it really was and how motivational it was. There have been days where I would wake up and not want to wear it but a few minutes later, I'd have the zip on my hip. You get a free account to track your activity and all the other good things like water intake, calorie intake, and you can meet and make new friends. I can't wait to wear this when I do my first 5k in two short weeks. I will even wear it when I do the AJC Peachtree Roadrace.
Having the fit bit really showed how inactive I was. I try to beat my score from the day before. It does get you motivated. I tell my sister my step for the day and I want to show her that I'm doing better everyday. This is also a motivator. The only reason why I gave the a 4 star instead of 5 star is that I am use to going by the points instead of calories. If somehow they can make one that we have a choice of calorie counting or point system. Great tracker. I love it and use it everyday.
Purchased as a gift, but requires a $39/yr subscription to lose it.com to keep track food consumed/calories. No written instructions in the packaging. Two accessories are included that have no explanation.
Even though you can purchase this unit, Fitbit no longer supports it and updates don't work. You cannot sync it with any device and therefore it's a useless device
