Cheap, sturdy, plays every form of music I own (MP3cd, cd, cassette) plus AM-FM radio! I can easily tote it around from room to room because it is lightweight. Thanks to the "Boost button" I can have my music my way. As per instruction booklet, I unplug when not in use as perhaps it will last longer. As for requiring 8 C-batteries for "no outlet environment", dollar store batteries are cheap but don't last, so either plug it in or invest in good batteries. If you rarely use battery operated mode, take them out and only put them back in as required.
We were looking for a portable "Boom Box" that would play CD's amd tapes and could play MP3 CD's as well as regular audio CD's. It is a difficult item to find! I believe there are more of them than I saw, but many do not add the MP3 claim in the advertisment! The Jwin did, and the price was very reasonable. It was easy to set up and use, right out of the box and it plays well. We have only used it with AC and not with batteries so I can not vouch for how long a set of batteries might last, but we are pleased with the player.
This little box plays cassettes, cds, mp3s, fm radio, and every function works great. I've tried homemade cdrs and they work fine whether for either cdas or mp3s. The sound quality is excellent in any mode. You just can't beat it for the price. Highly recommended!
I searched for almost 2 years for a boom box that played mp3 cds and had a good sound. This plays mp3 cds, and has a sound that's better than some other boomboxes costing twice as much. I'm going to buy another to make sure that I have one around, even if it's discontinued. Great product!!
I bought this to use when I'm gardening, out in the pool ect. Wanted something to listen to that was easy to move arround. I have no complaints the sound is good for the price and I have not had the first problem with the product since I bought it last month. I am especially happy with the tape player.
This is a great product with excellent sound for the money. One negative is that when playing MP3 CDs, there is no way to "fast forward" or "reverse." These functions work normally when playing regular CDs. Also, the display is quite bright so I wouldn't recommend it as a clock radio in a bedroom unless you want a night light.
Chose this boombox because it had not only the radio but a CD player, cassette player, and also had the MP3 CD. It is light weight making it easy to use indoors or take outside on the patio. MP3 was important feature. It gives you the freedom of listing to all types of music without having to get up and swap CD disk every few minutes. Only feature I was not impressed with is the control button for switch between radio, CD, etc is on the side and not easy to read in poor light, or older eyes.
Pros: - Mp3, Aux, and cassette player, this radio had it. - Nice blue backlit light. - Small size. Cons: - When playing CD it only shows the track number, it does not show the minutes or seconds of the track. - This radio has no bass in the speakers. - Some of the bottoms are on the side close to the back which makes it hard to reach.
ALTHOUGH IT HAD SOME FEATURES I WANTED THE SOUND WAS DISAPPOINTING. THE SOUND WAS FLAT, I GUESS LIKE 'MONO' WOULD BE. NO STEREO SOUND HERE. ALSO IT DIDN'T HAVE A REMOTE TO AT LEAST WORK THE 'CD'. THEN IT WOULDN'T SKIP TO THE NEXT TRACK. IF YOU TRIED TO SKIP TO THE NEXT TRACK IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THE CD AND START PLAYING ALL OVER AGAIN. I DIDN'T EXPECT A WHOLE LOT, BUT FOR OVER $30 I THOUGHT AT LEAST THE SOUND WOULD BE IN STEREO. UNLESS YOU'RE PLANNING TO USE THIS WHILE YOU'RE CAMPING IN THE WOODS, DON'T BOTHER. IT'S DISAPPOINTING IN SO MANY WAYS FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY. I EVENTUALLY RETURNED IT WITHIN THE 90DAY PERIOD.
The sound quality is very bad. The CD functionality makes clicking noise. Overall the quality of this product is bad.
