Overall this system is great. My 6 year old daughter loves it. We purchased the bundle with the system, one game, and soft case. She is thrilled with it and really finds it easy to use. I have to admit I play it sometimes while she is at school. It is easy to see and use. I would recommend this to anyone.
I bought this for my daughter's birthday last week. She turned 8 and loves it. I bought the pink version and Super Mario Brothers and Mario Kart. She loves Mario Kart and has not stopped playing it since. She has a Leapster, but has played this much more so far. It seems very durable and easy to use. She figured it out right away. The only downside now is getting her attention when she's playing.
This product is great!!! The only problem is it is so addicting(which is a good thing)!!! I keep on buying more games for it. It is the best video game I have ever had!!!!!! I would recommend this product to anyone!!! I give five stars to NINTENDO!!!!!!!!!!
I bought DS units for my grandchildren for Christmas. They wanted one after playing with my DS. They love it. It was bundled so I got them games they would like. Now we can all play our DS units together and chat with each other. It was money well spent.
I don't have much to say about this console, really. My daughter seems to like it a lot. She'd originally wanted a GameBoy Advance SP so I got her one for Christmas. About a week later she learned that two of her friends got the Nintendo DS Lite and she became disillusioned with the GameBoy (I knew she would). Good thing for her that her birthday was only two weeks later. She thought long and hard before spending all her birthday money on this console, a game and an accessory pack. She seems to be satisfied with her decision. She plays it almost every day. From a parent's point of view, it's of a very good quality. It came with two styluses and a wall charger (something it didn't say online). She keeps all her stuff in one of those plastic pencil boxes so she doesn't have to worry about damage or losing the styluses. They do sell special carriers but we couldn't find one that was so great to be worth the extra cost. But, then again, she only plays with it at home so she doesn't need anything with a handle or a safety lock. If you do plan on taking it on car trips, I would suggest purchasing one of the car adapters because the battery does run low with constant use. The game options seem to be enormous but, at $20 to $30 each, a little pricey for a kid's toy. She only has one DS Lite game but the GameBoy Advance games work in this console as well.
I love how easy it is to use the ds. the images are good and I love the ease of the touch screen. it makes playing the games more fun and interactive.
i actually got this last year for christmas! i wanted it so bad but it sold out REALLY REALLY fast so i recommend to buy it as soon as you can! my mom had to go on ebay for that thing because it sold out in EVERY store! but the thing is they want twice as much as the origional price so get it NOW!! and be sure to buy alot of good games for it because you will get tired of the same old thing after a while.
This is the greatest thing ever made! I love the varity of games. Pink is a great color for a DS Lite!!
Purchased this pink ds lite for our 8 1/2 year old as a bundle purchase (came with 2 game choices, ear buds, 2 carrying cases, screen cleaner, and screen protectors) and she hasn't put it down since we gave it to her. My husband said the screen protectors didn't quite fit, so he adjusted them, but overall, we were very pleased with our purchase.
I have a 15 year old and 7 year old and they each have a DS. The graphics are phenomenal! The games are so lifelike and amazing. Even I like to play them. There are countless games for each age group. I definitely recommend this product!
