I had first bought one for myself, but ended up buying three more for my family. I recommend it.
The camera works very well. It's small, compact, easy to use, easy to change the film, etc. There are several accessories available to buy for it, as well. One of the biggest down falls is the fact that you can not "edit" the pics before they print; which can cause this to become a very expensive gift for your child (or younger family members) who is used to editing pics on their iPhone after they take them! There is patience to learn with it!! Which can also be a positive aspect of the gift!!
Got this for my 7 year old daughter who loves taking pictures. She loves it!!! I got her a little case to go with it and take it around for protection.

I had bought this for my grandsons a couple of years ago. They had so much fun with the instance photos. They took pictures of all their toys.
Boy loved this camera for Christmas. Pictures are ok but small not as large as old Polaroid. Film is also expensive. But good solid camera and lots of fun.
This is a fun little camera! Reminiscent of the Polaroid days! It gives instant photos of friends and family. It is great for souvenir photos at family events and parties. It is also great for making crafts. We made Christmas ornaments with photos I took of the grandchildren!
I got this gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. We have had a blast taking pictures on it, and the quality is very nice!
I think it great for kids make them learn about taking pictures good for passport pictures and ID pictures
Easy to use (my 8 yr old is able to use it without difficulty). Fun size (photos & camera), but photo quality hasn't changed much from the original Polaroids that were so popular in the 80's.
