Had some scarey experiences with other units. Like handsfree capability. Lifetime maps is now a must, as is maps of US and Canada. Great unit!
This is the best value going for PND (Personal Navigation Devices) available. Comes wit llifetime map updates (saves you $48/year you have it, pay for itsel in under two years if you are using an older TomTom device! Also, if you show your receipt to TomTom service, they will extend your "Live" services to a full year. Worth another $60, so it really pays for itself in less than one full year. Absolutely the latest and greatest version of their magnificent product line!
This is our fourth TomTom. We have one in each of our three vehicles. The first one only died after our daughter accidentally dropped it out of the car and ran over it with one of the tires. In spite of that it still worked but part of the screen had no image and it wouldn't charge any more. This recent one from Walmart is the replacement. It is our first refurbished unit costing half the price of a brand new one. So far, working well.
Bought the refurb for 2/3rds the regular price. Cannot see any defects and the unit functions as new. Done.
This is a good GPS, I would recommend it, if you looking for chip price and a good function GPS, then buy it. Does not comes with charger.
Good device, Sometime loose satellites. Not very expensive. Below $100.
It drove me muts and made me nervous Something was wrong with the voice recognition So sorry! Like wise the other product what I bought is back.
The image suggests it is 3D because of the split screen and the 3d image on it. When I received the product is wasn't the same.
Hard to set up hard to mount: vacuum lock to close to unit Not user friendly Phone connection failed after a week
I only used this GPS for a couple of days, then returned it for a refund. It started out working fine, downloaded the latest maps and installed without any issues but upon using it, it started locking up. When putting in a destination, it locked up. Tried restarting the unit but it wouldn't work. Then when turning on the unit, another time, it locked up again. I don't think that this is a good product which surprised me as it is a TomTom and I have had their products before and did not have these problems. I still have a TomTom that is a few years older and it has never had any problems at all, so I will just go back to using it. Also, this unit would only update directly from the website, not through the TomTom Home Software.
