Picked up this Morning I ordered for my children as a Christmas gift, my husband decided to give it to them early. they have them charged and set up. So far they are great no problems it moves from site to site very quickly my son is in the process of downloading apps, I will log in within a week to update my comment so far its a great buy, I ordered 2 1 black 1 pink, I thought the pink would be all pink but the back is only pink.
This is a great tablet for the money - it functions like an Android phone - you can get your email, browse the internet, read books, etc. The android market place is very limited - but, you can always go to the online version and create an account. I found the best place to go is Amazon, create an account, so you can download books and games for the Android OS. If you want this tablet to play games, get a different tablet - if you want it for email, surfing the net, reading books, displaying your photos, etc. - you will love it. The battery life is not so great if you stay on WI-FI for a long time so keep it charged up and take your charger with you where ever you go. This tablet does not have all the bells and whistles of a full on PC so don't expect that... but, with that said, there's very little you can't to with this tablet. Flash runs great, etc... haven't tried to skype.
Depending on the tablet you get, will depend on your experience. I initially bought the E Glide 2, which is the newer model. I found out that the NEWER model DOES NOT have the Android Market, it has Apoke (or something like that). That app store doesn't have alot of options on it. SO I called back and downgraded to the EGlide1 and it DOES have android market. It has a sensitive screen, but does include a stylist, so that becomes more manageable. It hooks up to the wireless network fine and printed to my wireless printer with no problems. Overall I am very happy with it. We did buy 3 of these since we are a family of triplets and I am SHOCKED at how easily the girls picked up the tablets to read, play games and color. Loving this as a "babysitter" as well.
I recently purchased the pink 7" tablet for my daughter as a birthday gift. The tablet was not as shown on the website, only the back was pink. This tablet works pretty well and is fast for all that a 13 year old needs to do. However after only two weeks the back of the unit is starting to crack because this tablet gets heated during use.
I really have enjoyed using my tablet, i also got one for my daughter and she loves her's also. We can carry them without a problem, it's just big enough. It fits right in your purse, not heavy at all. I took mine to work to show all my coworkers they loved it.
It's the first tablet I've owned. I think it's an excellent buy for the price. It's NOT an iPad, but I didn't expect it to be.
I like this for the purpose I bought it for, which is to go on the internet. It is great for that and for games. It is not good for much else. I only wanted it for being able to go on the internet when I am out and about. If you are looking for an e reader, this is not what you want.
This tablet is Okay for the price of around $100 - $120. It surfs the web better than I thought it would. It actually is very fast with my Internet provider. It plays video very well. The picture quality is really good. It plays video from youtube better than a few of my much higher priced tablets do. Very good for reading ebooks and playing music. Now for my dislikes of this tablet. As with most of these cheaper tablets the audio quality is very bad unless you are using headphones or outboard speakers. The speakers are so small they are very hard to hear even in a quiet room. You need to use a stylus for accuracy of the touchscreen. Recalibrating the screen seems not to do any good. The tablet comes with a Dual full sized USB Adapter that plugs into a special port on the tablet. It's okay but I would rather have the regular ports built into the tablet it's self. You can't plug this tablet into your computer to transfer files. You have to transfer files using a USB Flash Drive or Micro SDCard. My biggest dissatisfaction with this tablet is the battery life. I am lucky to get much more than an hours use playing video or surfing the net with it. The battery life is my biggest dislike with this tablet.
I bought the item and I returned it because I found something that suited me better. I was reluctant to return this product. The device did what I needed it to do but I have minor issues with it. First the battery life was only 4 hrs, just slightly less then I need. I would have kept it if the battery was more like 6 hrs. It had a connector where you could actually connect a card reader via a USB port. You probably could hook a portable hard drive to it. Plus you can connect an Ethernet connection directly to it. Plus you can connect a 3G to it. Amazing for a little $118 unit. I had trouble loading market apps, kept getting problem with no android phone associated with my account. Yes alot of finger print issues with the unit but I'm sure that happens with all the units. I am new to Android devices but I was very happy with this one. Awesome little machine. If you are willing to put up with the low battery life, you will be happy with the machine. The product also had an app called office suite which allowed you to open MS Word, excel files but you could not edit them. The app is $15 in the app market if you need it.
I bought the ematic for me to use at home and out, the only thing it takes a quit long time to pick up internet access. compared to my ipod touch. But after you log on its good from there. Works like any other ipad and can use it for your documents and ebooks and other stuff. its not a bad deal but i wouldn't recommended it if you have no patients in waiting to get internet on it. I bought it becuz of the value and can't afford the apple ipad nothing compares to that. but if you are looking to save its not a bad to have it works similar to the itouch just I itouch is a bit quicker.
