Bought this for my son but the whole family is in love with it...we have no problem at all downloading all kinds of stuff from Amazon's appstore (which gives a free download every day of a normally paid app-how cool is that?#, plays all kids of games. Some games that aren't compatible #like fruit ninja# have the exact game available that is compatible #like fruit ninja:puss in boots, which is cooler, actually...I've been told we could download something so the original fruit ninja can be put on but why bother?). But like everything we want is on there, and it runs super fast, and the screen is very responsive, and the camera and recorder are easy to use and work well, and the biggest surprise was how great the sound is on it...I tried a ipad and some other tablets in the store and there was like almost no outward sound, you had to use headphones, but this one has a true speaker which is awesome. I can't believe what a great value it is, totally works like something three times as expensive. Took minutes to get it up and running, and both my 7-yr-old and my not-so-computer-literate father were able to EASILY work it. I had been intimidated about buying any tablet just from all the reviews about how funny they can be, but just didn't find any of that with this one.
I love this tablet. Its very fast with the 1.2 ghz dual core processor. It surfs the web almost as fast as my laptop. It has a very good quality build. The only negative thing about this tablet is that it doesnt have the full google market apps. It does come with amazon,appoke and slide me apps that when combined sort of give you a lot of apps but nothing like all of those google apps in the google market out there. It does not have gps or make phone calls but thats why i have Straight Talk phone service which has unlimited everything for $40.(excellent service by the way,especially with the e71 nokia.). When unboxed it worked flawlessly. All in all a good tablet.
This is not a bad tablet for the money. However the advertising its misleading. It says it is powered by android gingerbread 2.3. However it only has access to a hybrid version of android market and not the full android market with many things missing that are available from the full market on other devices. Other than that not a bad tablet.
if Ematic would fix the reset it would be a good tablet.we sent it back after 2 days ...I would try it again if they fix the problem
The tablet has android programming, but it is not authorized for most android applications: like Skype and other FREE sites.
I bought this for my mother's birthday after reading all the reviews. I thought it might be a decent tablet for her. It kept getting stuck when turning it off though, so my mom had to push the re-set button. Setting up the accounts was also confusing. Some apps wouldn't work. She returned it, paid more money, and got a e-reader/tablet.
After 10 minutes of attempting to navigate through this device, I was totally unsold! The Android market or "Play Store" as it is now called is not an option, as advertised. The Maylong tablet has been mis-rated as not offering the "real" android market, but it does in fact have the "real" android market and is a much better choice. I have a smart phone and didn't really want to invest much money into a tablet (such as the Samsung Galaxy, which is "all that, and more"), so I was looking for something that would serve basic needs when I needed a screen larger than what is offered on my smart phone. This tablet is NOT IT! Please don't waste your time or money. It is not worth the stress. My 2 year old grandson is very tech savvy and he doesn't even like it for his basic needs. I am very tech savvy, but never expected much out of this tablet. Well it didn't even begin to amuse me!
Do not purchase EMATIC products!! they are not worth the money and the customer service/support is nonexistent. You call an 800 number and leave a message but your calls are never returned, So a broken unit with a warranty is just a waste of your time and money because they never return calls or emails to let you know where to get it fixed. Why are the questions here not answered about this tablet? Because the manufacturer does not want to waste time to answer them.
I decided to by this for my younger sister(12years-old). When we first got it i was surprised about how horrible the camera was. then i was upset that it froze and she had to wait until it died to use it again because it wouldn't allow her to touch anything. after it was charged and she had to download everything all over again because everything was deleted. it was a horrible experince.
When it boots up it works great. If I power it down with a complete charge, the battery goes dead every time. I recharge it. Then it locks up 5 or 6 times trying to boot. The only way to make it work is to dim the screen and tap the power switch to put it to sleep. Then the battery lasts and lasts. Battery lasts when it is powered up. I've had it too long to return it. You have 15 days for electronics. I've had it 20 days now. It is locked up now. I will have to wait for the battery to go dead so I can charge it and try to boot it again. Don't waste your money.
